The  12 primitive camp sites at Heritage Farms open Friday May 17, 2018. Tent sites close on Sunday September 23, 2018. Our 3 Adirondack style camping shelters are open from Saturday March 31, 2018 until Sunday October 28, 2018. Our Hipcamp shelter listing is Shelters Under the Stars in CVNP.

Heritage Farms is a 5th generation, 115-acre farm located in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Our primitive campsites are located along the boundaries of the SE portion of the property. We have worked hard to place sites so there is privacy with beautiful views. Some tent sites are just feet from the park boundary. We are a working Christmas Tree farm, so our tree fields are the backdrop for all of our camping sites. Sites 4,6,7, and 9 have trees perfect for hanging hammocks. If you are looking for a site with afternoon shade try Sites 2,3,4,5,6,9,and 10. Site 1, 8, 11, and 12 are for sun lovers. Camp site 7 gives you a little bit of sun, shade and the sounds of the creek . Every site provides you with either a gorgeous sunrise, a beautiful sunset or both. The sunsets at Heritage Farms awesome.

We provide a tank of water for washing dishes or your hands and face. You must bring in all drinking water. There are 4 portable toilets in shady spots near the parking area. There is plenty of parking near the campsites.

At the Information booth you will find charging stations for charging your electronics and plugs for the electric pump on your air mattress.  Also at the Info Booth you will find Camp Rules, Emergency Information, CVNP Trail maps and fliers about Heritage Farms.

WITH PRIOR PERMISSION, from Heritage Farms, you may even bring your dog. We limit the number of dogs on the property and ONLY dogs who have been ok'd at the time of reservation are allowed on the property.

The small village of Peninsula is a short 1/4 mile walk from the farm. There are 2 restaurants, a great music venue, hike and bike trails, and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park right at our door step. We even have a local swimming area called The Quarry that offers day passes to visitors. Peninsula and our farm are true gems in a beautiful rural wooded setting 15 minutes from Blossom Music Center, restaurants, retail areas, CVNP, Akron and Cleveland Metro Parks, and just about anything else you may want or need.

Review for site 9. It was raining when we arrived and Carol met us at the car to introduce herself and give us directions to our site. The site was perfectly off by itself with great pines to hang our hammock, a large firepit, picnic table and wood wrapped in a plastic bag. We set up and called an Uber to a concert at Blossom Music Center and came back to fall asleep to the sound of crickets and woke up to birds, bees and the sun shining into our tent. The 12 sites are spaced out across the beautiful property and while there were other guests our site was very private . The portable restrooms are very clean and near the parking lot. The overall location is perfect for time spent in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and after a long hike, we came back to nap under the pines until we built a fire with the bundle of wood that was dropped off while we were hiking. Beautiful location, kind host and great two nights spent under the stars. We will be back.

The camp was perfect. Close to town if you like to go out to eat, and close to trails from the park. The host was fantastic and super helpful. If we ever are in that area again heritage farms is where we will camp!

Camping Among the Pines is a quiet, peaceful spot to unwind after any activity in CVNP. We attended a concert at Blossom and after we finally found our way into an Uber, it was easy to find with the address provided. The hosts were very accommodating and everyone on the property was very friendly.
