A little hidden gem!
A little hidden gem in the middle of the city! I was looking for a quiet, relaxing, private space to park my Sprinter van & hang out for the weekend. This was the perfect location! Not far from Cleveland at all, just a short drive. Had everything you needed - two perfectly spaced hammock trees, total privacy, a few little walking trails, fire pit and some firewood, a solar shower, and a porta potty. Marijoy was totally accommodating then wonderful to work with. They even left me some fresh eggs in the morning. If you're looking for a little Oasis in the middle of the city, this is it.
Very well kept site. Lots of firewood. Only problem was the loud music every night from the neighbors. The site wasn’t as quiet and private as I anticipated.
Unique and great spot to camp
We really enjoyed the area and camping spot. A gaggle of chickens greet you when you arrive and the nook is very private and secluded. This is not a rural area so don’t expect the quietude of wilderness but it was one of the more unique camping experiences on our road trip.
A delightful nook, so close to I-90, US 2 and US 6. As other reviewers said, it’s still in a town, so expect road noise and neighbor noise. I brought earplugs and slept soundly. The sight is wooded and looks much more remote than it is. I think it’s a great stopover on a road trip, and I enjoyed biking on Rt 6 and the Black River bike trail.
Great campsite and helpful host :)
Amazing time! Campsite was kept up very well, and the chickens/ducks were super friendly! Gravel road to campsite was a little bumpy, so if you have a lower car, plan accordingly! We had a truck, so we could pull right up to our campsite and there was plenty of room. Marijoy was really helpful with places to kayak, swim and dine! Her response rate was extremely well. If you have a chance, the French Creek was gorgeous by kayak.
The site was perfect, especially for cross country travel and the host was so so kind and accommodating!! She and her daughter even made me a campfire. It was great and highly recommend.
A quaint, cute, open space
Marijoy was very prompt with getting back to me and had clear instructions. She provided me with a jug of water that was left at my site. I was greeted by the many chickens, roosters, and ducks on my drive in. Marijoy also told me about a few beaches near by to check out. There is a path in the woods I walked to explore the property a bit more too. I stayed one night and had everything I needed for a successful evening.
A peaceful retreat
Marijoy made everything smooth and easy. Site was a lovely, very green and very private property. The chickens on property were a delight for our kids and ourselves. Not far from Huntington Beach where we jumped in Lake Erie. A fantastic stay.
