The vibe at Spring Valley Farm
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Spring Valley Farm is a short drive from the small town center of Magnolia, Ohio. The drive in this part of the woods is so relaxing! Hosts Jon and his wife are very sweet and both grew up just over the hill from where they live now.
We camped in our van so they had a freshly mowed field ready for us. We were able to find a level spot near the fire ring set up. They also provide firewood! Though the field is right on the road, from the time we set up camp to the time we went to bed only one car drove by.
Be sure to walk along the hedge in the direction of the huge white barn. When you get near the end of the hedge you will see a grassy path that runs up the hill. Make sure to take a walk up here, or if you are tent camping this is where you will likely want to set up for the night. It’s shady, plenty level up top and the path is mowed. There were some areas with poison ivy, so just watch as you walk. We were to early for berry season but the bushes were about to explode with blackberries! They have also set up a hammock at the top of the hill.
We highly recommend camping here. It was so peaceful! Oh, and if the neighbors beagle sees you she will likely come on over for a belly rub.
I took my two nephews to Spring Valley farm and all three of us had a terrific time. The weather was cold, rainy, and windy, and it was awesome. In my mind those are the best and most memorable camping trips.
The view from our campsite was incredible. The area was so scenic and clean, and our host Jonathan and his wife were very welcoming and gave us bundled firewood. The site had a very clean portable toilet, also.
The area was very quiet and remote, just the way I like it. This was one of the most fun camping trips I've been on in years. I couldn't recommend Spring Valley Farm highly enough to other campers near northeast Ohio. Well done.
