We loved our overnight stay in the Songbird Suite and had such a good time. We let ourselves in and immediately felt like we were at home. The suite is designed for every camping or glamping comfort, but with the amenities of a hotel. Our hosts were so kind and friendly—meeting Amanda and Chuck put us at ease right away. It was getting chilly, so they showed us how to operate the propane heater and that kept us warm through the night. There was a tote of fire starting supplies for the fire pit, and later they dropped off a bin of games to add to the indoor activities. The bed was cozy and extremely comfortable, and we woke up refreshed and ready for a walk on the trail through the woods. We met the hens, ducks, and new turkey, too. Songbird Suites is on a farm in the country, yet close to town. We forgot marshmallows for our s’mores; it turns out the grocery store (plus restaurants, offices, parks, and even a farmers market) is less than 2 miles away. It was very easy to leave the cabin the same way we found it. Truly, we had a fantastic experience and want to come back soon! Many thanks!

Amanda and Chuck are great hosts . Friendly, courteous and respectful. Spotted Owl Ranch is an amazing property. Our little cabin by the pond was appointed perfectly. The bed is super comfy. And the cabin was super clean. The decorations match perfectly with our hosts persona. There are ducks in the pond. Chickens and guinea bird that roam during the day. The guinea are especially fun to watch. A rooster you’ll hear occasionally thru the day. But our favorite is a Turkey named “Martha Washington”. If you crouch and wave your hands toward yourself she will come over and let you pet her. She is a sweetheart. We hiked their property. Fished in the pond. I’ll post a picture of one the bass I caught. The firewood and the fire starter kit and coffee provided are just a couple of niceties offered by the hosts. We will definitely be returning. We have tent camped thru hipcamp several times this summer and will continue to do so. But we will be returning to Spotted Owl Ranch for sure. For Pam and I this is what hipcamp is all about. Making new friends is what it’s all about! Thank you Amanda and Chuck for opening up your property to us and the many others. We will be back
Ps Pam says please give Martha a pet from her everyday!

Highly recommend a stay in the Songbird Suite! We are typically tent campers but were looking for an easy one night get-away to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The cabin was so lovely and stocked with coffee, board games, and not to mention very cozy pillows and blankets. Amanda and Chuck were incredible hosts, welcoming and going so far as to decorate the cabin with birthday decorations for our 2 year old! We enjoyed exploring their property via hiking trails, paddle boat and loved meeting all of the friendly animals. We definitely plan to return! Thanks Amanda & Chuck!
