Beautiful spot overlooking the rive
This was a beautiful little spot overlooking the river- and that in itself made it worth it. Nice fire pit. Portapotty was very clean. Scott was a very friendly host and great at communicating.
The only thing that wasn’t perfect about the spot for me is that it was right behind a house in a backyard with other neighbors out and about to the one side (the other side was just a field- which was nice) so it wasn’t completely private. But *mostly* it was. Again it wasn’t a problem really- just something for future campers to be aware of.
Scott was super welcoming and prepped the site for us before we showed up more than I expected. He was very communicative and recommended some nice spots for breakfast nearby. He also got the fire ready and set up tiki torches. Waking up to the sound of the river was amazing, you're literally right on it. I'd definitely recommend.
Had a great experience at this site! Scott was an extremely friendly and accommodating host. He shared suggestions of places to see locally, provided us with free firewood, and left us tiki torches with fuel throughout the site. The only downside of this site it that it is not 100% private. However, despite seeing neighbors in their yards, it is still much more private than a public campsite! The river is absolutely beautiful, and my dogs loved it. The campsite also had some nice essentials including tables, camping chairs, and a garbage can. I spent some time during my visit hiking at Cuyahoga Valley national park, which was an easy 25 minute drive. Waking up to the sound of the river was incredibly relaxing, and the trees at the site shielded us from light rain. I would highly recommend this site!
