Welcome to Sawdust FarmCamp! Located in Geneva, Ohio. We have four different sites to choose from: 1 tent site, 2 glamping tent sites, and 1 cabin. We also have the option to book all our sites for a 15 person retreat with spacial extras only available for that listing. Portable toilet available, pets welcome, campfires permitted. Potable water and hot water showers are only available at or cabin and our glamping sites only have solar camp showers (not the tent site). New hot showers are being planned for the 2024 season. Naturalist Isabelle H. Klein wrote a collection of letters from her home of Sawdust (named form the sawdust left by the loggers of the early 60’s) for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Explorer Magazine from the winter of 1969 to the summer of 1976. They then were published as the book “Letters From Sawdust” by the Press of Case Western Reserve University for the Museum. It is a lyrical voyage through the seasons at the Sawdust Tract in Northeast Ohio. She details encounters with the wildlife of the area as well as the changing seasons and plant life. Reminiscent of Thoreau's writings about Walden. In 1978 an additional house was moved onto the property from Sidley's gravel pit and joined with the existing Klein farmhouse. We decided to preserve almost 400 acres of the property with the help of the Western Reserve Land Conservatory for the Cleveland Museum Of Natural History, Natural Areas. Forest is home to the red-sided dace, and 10 rare species of birds, including cerulean warblers. The original small family farm and surrounding woods we have retained are being restored and updated. We are proud to call Sawdust home and would love to share it with you.

Glamping Bell Tent in Wine Country
This site was perfect for a quiet getaway ...my partner and I were so impressed with everything to do with it, from the tent to all the little things included to make our stay a comfortable one. It is difficult to tell from the pictures, but those comfy adirondack chairs overlook a ravine, which had a little stream of runoff flowing through it. We came to view the eclipse and couldn't have picked a better site. It was an easy walk with the trolley from the cars to camp, and even without the leaves on the trees we did not see anyone from our spot. The hosts were so kind and helpful -- they responded so quickly when we had questions or needed anything, otherwise leaving us to the peace and quiet of their beautiful land. I can't wait to come back!

Pond View Tent Site in Wine Country
ten out of ten. awesome.
Beautiful property. In early April, the woods were swampy with tons of vernal pools. The creek ravines were lush with wildflowers. It was wonderful to wake up by the pond. If you're camping by the pond, watch the weather and come prepared for wet ground. We had a good tent and boots/ sandals so we were fine, but just know that the land around the pond gets mushy if it's been raining. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone.

Double Bell Tents in Wine Country
Comfortable tent in a nice setting
Two of us stayed in the queen bed bell tent for the 2024 eclipse. The tent worked very well. It is spacious and the queen mattress is very comfortable (thick foam, I think). The outhouse was as clean as one can be. The site is very close to a number of really good wineries, and then the lake is also not too far. We enjoyed visiting two parks: Thompson Ledges and Hogback Ridge, both well kept and interesting geologically. I can imagine that the bunk tent would be lots of fun for kids.

Rustic Cabin in Wine Country
I went to this Clean beautiful Cabin last Saturday. It’s a beautiful, clean cabin in the woods. The owner are very responsive. Like wow! If you want quite romantic get away this is perfect love the woodstove, the firepit, everything about this cabin. Neat and tidy. I drive passed the cone which I forgot they mentioned not too cuz of the roots. Sorry about that but I backed up. If you want to see the whole beautiful Cabin you can check out my YouTube video to see for yourself.” Elirita Shurina” sure you will fall inlove with this Beautiful Cabin.

Rustic Cabin in Wine Country
Exceeds our expectations
This was our second stay at the Rustic Cabin on Sawdust FarmCamp and it exceeded our expectations once again! We love the cabin. It’s cozy and perfect size for us and our dog. The bed is very comfortable to sleep on. I loved the upgrade to the outhouse, so clean! We enjoyed a fire both nights we were there. The hostess is very responsive to messages if you need to purchase more wood or need additional drinking water. I would highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a quiet and private wooded getaway.
