Rusty's RV Retreat Site 2 creekside
Beautiful property! We absolutely loved how kind the owners were to us, so we felt right at home. All the sites were in great locations! Also Rusty was, of course, the cutest 🐮

Site 4 - Rusty's Retreat
Beautiful!
Beautiful space! I loved camping by a brook. Jay was very helpful and responsive. Our pets were welcomed. The site had a little store to buy items you might have forgotten. We were able to have a relaxing weekend seeing the eclipse :)

Site 2 - Rusty's Retreat
Secluded stay with flowing water
I had a great stay here. It was my first hipcamp experience. Jay was a very kind and welcoming host. There was farm honey and eggs and necessities for sale. Camp site #2 was perfect for me and my dog. It is a kindof triangular site, with water flowing on two sides. Jay used his trailer to bring my gear to and from the site, the cars are parked by the road. It is not a long walk, so I was able to go back for anything I left in my car.
The property is beautiful, with striking sunsets and sunrises. There were no sounds of traffic, and the other camp sites are placed thoughtfully with a lot of space and privacy between. I would absolutely stay again.

Rusty's RV Retreat Site 3
Would recomend with suggestions
We had a good time at Rusty's RV retreat. Jay and his wife were delightful and attentive hosts. There was some nice trails to walk and the farm is so remote that you can walk the roads for hours without hardly seeing a vehicle.
The commons area was such a great place to share the experience of the eclipse with other guests. The old barn definitely added to the charm of the property.
My recommendation for future RV er's is to get a full understanding of what it will take to park your particular vehicle. While not terribly challenging it may be beyond the ability of someone who is used to pull thru sites only.
My recommendation to jay is to seek better understanding of RV er's needs and expectations. Saying that the site has water generally means there is a connection at the site or easily accessible upon arrival. Also to claim that a site has electric, I feel most will assume 220 unless otherwise specified. The 110 worked fine for us but if we had wanted AC I fear we would have overloaded the cord/circut.
If Jay continues to offer site three, I would suggest clearing the site more, to offer the campers full advantage of the space.
My last bit of advice is to acquire a better understanding of the size of camper that the guest is trying to park. We ultimately fit our trailer there without issue but if we had a slide, things may have been to tight.
Thanks again for an overall great experience. This was definitely a positive first experience with Hipcamp and Rusty's RV retreat!
