Surrounded by 3500 acres of privately owned forest in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, My Spot Campsite is easily accessible and offers a perfect retreat to this peaceful countryside. My Spot is so tranquil, private and scenic, that you may never want to leave camp until it's time to head home. However, if exploration is your aim, 80 acres of private pastures, forests and trails offer breathtaking views where you might catch a glimpse of grazing sheep or free-ranging hens. Just a short hike from camp, you’ll find the pond a great place for cooling off or for catching fish. Evenings can be enjoyed at the campfire or trekking to the nearest pasture hilltop for some amazing stargazing. If venturing further out interests you, Lake Snowden, a 15 minute drive, offers kayaking, canoeing, swimming and the popular Paw-Paw Festival in September. Hocking Hills State Park, the charming college town of Athens, and the quaint riverfront village of Pomeroy are all a short 30 minute drive.

Brian and Beth are super! Upon arrival Brian shuttled me and my gear to the campsite with his ATV which made things very easy. The tent site is back into the woods adjacent to a very small Creek underneath a nice forest canopy: this keeps you and your tent cool and comfortable while hanging around camp! The site really gave me the tranquility and solitude I craved and I spent most of my time there, perfect. I lost count of the different bird calls, so many beautiful songs from nature! The farm is beautiful, I was able to explore and get some nice views and a challenging walk through the rolling hills and pastures. Bonus, no cell service at camp but if needed you can walk to the top of the hill and make a call. Highly recommend this place!
Sweet secluded spot!
We found what we were looking for: peace and privacy to read and relax. Beth and her husband were great hosts. Lake Snowden is a nearby lake to swim in, as well as their pond. A great 2-night stay!
