Very unique property tucked away off the road. 24 acre fenced in property with trails ,rock features and a 3 acre lake. The lake has huge fish, turtles, frogs and snakes. Makes the water much better for catch and release fishing and paddling around rather than swimming but you definitely can at your own risk. We have chickens and pigs so far and love dogs! We have 3. This was the reason we fenced in and put in the trails. Just always be mindful of other campers and animals while dogs are off leash. The sites we have open now are semi private. We are working on the secluded sites in the woods and will update when ready. We are absolutely loving hosting and meeting all our guests. The property has trails running around so your bound to see some us and maybe another campers. We are out working and making improvements monday- friday just aheads up. Plenty of fun things to do, you wont need to leave the property to have a great time. If you do though there are 2 wineries close , Barrel run winery is just 7 minutes away and if you want to check out concert the Dusty armadillo is just up the road! We are also just a short drive to quail hollow state park, Wingfoot , Mogadore reservoir and west branch.

We are so glad we came upon this great camping spot, it was really awesome! Morgan and Mike were super friendly and accommodating. They even had a little basket of essentials for us in case we needed anything, along with a welcome note and fun spots to check out around the area. Their property is gorgeous and lots to explore! Many different camping spot options were available. Our kids had so much fun and really enjoyed visiting and feeding the pigs and chickens. They loved meeting their nice dogs too! We had a lovely evening hike on their trail and around the lake, enjoyed paddleboarding, fishing, star gazing, finding and listening to the many frogs, and just relaxing by the fire. Very peaceful and quiet. Plenty of shade and all around a wonderful place to camp out!

Great lakeside campfire while the baby sleeps. So much to explore on and around the lake.Found a great spot to park the camper with a lake view!Almost time to star gaze!

Morgan was an amazing host! My sister and I were traveling from NJ and we’re a little nervous to be camping by ourselves. Morgan made us feel so safe and at home. She assured us that her property is completely fenced in. She took the time to talk to us and even helped us get our fire going when we couldn’t! She let us pick where we wanted to set up camp, we chose the spot by the windmill. Such a fun experience! We spent the night dancing by the lake 😂

The lake has a trail that wraps all the way around, connecting other camp sites so you can meet other campers if you want!Root & Forage farmRoot & Forage farmWe got to feed the pigs!

My fiancé and I visited Roots & Forage over the 4th of July Weekend. We were looking for a little getaway with our two dogs and this was the perfect spot! Morgan and Mike were so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. The multiple campsite options, each with their own unique set up allowed for privacy while also being a short distance to access all the amenities. The dogs stayed busy swimming and hiking. This is a great spot for animal lovers. We would definitely recommend Roots & Forage and look forward to our next visit!

A wonderful place to camp! The sites are spaced out so you feel secluded in your own space. Morgan thought of everything from the small campsite details to a community tent if you forget any essentials. I appreciated the tour around the property to see the trails and the other campers were friendly! There is a lake on the property with a trail to walk around. It is not advised to swim in the lake but she has a canoe and fishing poles to satisfy the lake amenities. A perfect place for some time away from the city. I would stay here again!

Morgan is a dream. She has a big smile, a big pond, and big dreams! Her property was unique and beautiful beyond expectation. It was a portal to "somewhere else" amidst a flat Ohio town.

Theyve just started but have big expectations and goals. I cant wait to visit each season to watch their space and experience grow and advance.

I came to visit needing a break from the city, and brought a friend. We set up in a little cove of trees dug into the edge of the forest, but set uo our tent out in the open to be up close with thr pond.

This pond is covered in hundreds of lilypads and is full of life like any other. It was 4th of July and the frogs were louder than any fireworks. There were no critters out snooping like coons or squirrels, just some chicken clucking in the distance.

We stayed during the lunar eclipse and truly felt like we had visited a magical place.

There is not much privacy for outdoor relief, and the other campsites are not too far away (though we couldnt see or hear anyone else, you could run to another persons site in 10 seconds), so id suggest a community outhouse or two at opposite ends of the property or designated relief spots with some sort of cover,

That detail aside, we never felt exposed, vulnerable, or unsafe on this property. Other campers were super respectable and the owners property in easily reachable in the event of emergency,

Id recommend staying here with a friend 100% and encourage keeping your visit to 1 car, as the narrow paths can get congested easy!

Applause for Morgan and her property! She will do well as a host on Hipcamp 🙌❤

We will recommend Morgan's farm and property to everyone that we know. We had an amazing time! This was a first time tent camping for our kids and they loved it. They have big shoes to fill everywhere else they will go now. Our stay was more than we expected, it was quiet, beautiful, and just what we needed. We loved cooking over the fire and appreciate all of the things that Morgan had available if we needed them. We rate this experience a 5/5 and look forward to coming back to see what's new at the farm.

You can see barely see our site from the other side of the lake Root & Forage farmUnfortunately we didn't have time to go out on the lake. Was awesome to have the option thoughNice stroll around the lake

Morgan was an amazing host! Very communicative & very friendly. My camp site was right in front of the small lake and was very scenic. I had a fire in the fire pit and felt totally at ease and safe. My dog had the time of her life. She ran into the lake, she ran all over the place, and I felt totally safe with her off leash because the property was completely fenced in. In the morning we were greeted by 2 hogs and my dog was so excited! Absolutely recommend Morgan’s camp site!
