We have a unique property with a great view of Caesars Creek State Park (teriffic hiking trails). Our property sits above the little Miami river where you can kayak, ride your bikes on the bike trail or just walk around historic Waynesville. If you are coming for the Ohio Renaissance Festival, it is just minutes from our place. And if the Sauerkraut festival in the fall is more your thing, then stay with us and we will be happy to shuttle you to town, so you don't have to worry about parking!
At the bottom of the ridge is the Warren County Observatory at Hisey Park that you can contact prior to your visit and schedule a look through their telescope, or bring your own because the light pollution is low, people like to lay under the stars at the ridge and check out the meteor showers or the stars.
Campers have enjoyed being either private down in the trees or gathering with others up near the barn where they can play music, cook and gather under the front porch of Bowman Lodge. You can fish (catch & release), hike, sit by the fire at night (yes,we have the gear for S'mores or hot dogs), sit in the swinging chair and read a book, BBQ or just hang out by your tent. We don't open our place to more than 2 campers per day, so you don't have to worry about elbow room at the ridge, be social or be private, it is a judgement free zone :).

Absolutely wonderful family & farm with every detail and more provided for your comfort. Like... holy mackerel. There’s not enough space here to express how beautiful and welcoming everyone was. It’s just a perfect gem 💎 with all the beautiful land, picturesque pond, grand barn with proper flush toilets, outdoor shower with amazing hot water, cute goats, fiesty chickens and lovable well trained dogs 🐶 and I don’t particularly care for dogs, but husband and kids reaaaaaallly want to get a dog.. so they love spending time with these sweeties. The girls had so much fun. They are just so happy to be one with nature, catching fireflies, running with the dogs, watching the on-site build of a tiny house, enjoying the bonfire, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores, or just walking through the garden to collect fresh basil for our pasta. It’s nice to see the girls disconnect from their gadgets and engage in reality. The amentities are like glamorous camping. Let’s hope this isn’t your first intro to camping, as it’s so amazing it will for sure ruin every single camping experience that follows. If I could give more than 5 stars, this would be the Burj Al Arab of camping spots, like 7 star status ******* rivaling Beijing’s Morgan Plaza. If you can manage to sneak in a camping spot at R&R, I highly recommend it!
My husband and I decided to go on a last minute get away with our two children....this was our first hipcamp experience and it was really amazing. Mamie, her family, and their sweet dogs all welcomed us with open arms, gave us access to bathrooms, warm showers and a beautiful view over the ridge. We also met another amazing family on our visit who inspired us with their incredible stories,...thank you so much! We look forward to seeing all of you again! Much love ❤️
We had a good time the two nights we spent at Mamie's property. We were able to choose a private area to pitch our tent and they provided a nice fire pit for us to cook over an open fire. We got that part of the primitive camping experience that we enjoy and on the flip side we also could walk a short distance to use an outdoor shower with hot water and a clean restroom. We loved the stocked pond and wished we had brought more bait. The misty sunrises were beautiful and Mamie and her family were very welcoming and friendly.
