The vibe at Kick'n Country Farm
We traveled to Horse Persons Paradise from Pittsburgh and the drive was beautiful. Very quickly outside of the city the land became rolling and lush with green. It was a pretty easy 1.5 hour drive. Our GPS brought us right to the correct mailbox. Look for the antique green horse wagon by the turn of the driveway and you will know you are in the right place.
We drove into the gravel driveway and tucked our van into a small grassy lane near the spring that feeds from the pond. We found a level spot just the right size for our van and called it home. We never met the host, but the property felt peaceful and quiet. There is a pond with a small gazebo you can catch some shade in and a small paddle boat propped on the edge. We did not venture too far up the driveway beyond the pond - so we can’t speak to the rest of the property. If you are traveling near the town of Mechanicstown, Ohio check this place out!

John, Christine, and Garrick were great hosts and were very accommodating for our group. The camp area by the pond is peaceful and serene. The partially finished cabin is a nice hideout from the rain. Make sure to visit the pets on the farm as they are super friendly. I will definitely be returning. Thanks again for everything, we had a great time. :)

Thank you, for being the perfect guests! We look forward to your next visit!
