Places to see near Waterfall Cove : Our Glampsite
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Waterfall Cove glampsite was amazing! Everything I hoped for and more. My friend and her dog enjoyed our stay very much. There was lots of room for the dog to run around, the creek to play in, and great privacy away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. You won't hear traffic here - only nature. Even though it rained while we were there, we were completely comfortable. The site had every amenities needed for a great and comfortable stay for everyone no matter how "camp savvy" you are. Compost toilet, shower, sink, soaps, dishes, cutlery, solar lights/charging capability, and stove (bring your own propane) are all available at the site. I would recommend this site in a heart beat - my friend and I are already spreading the word and looking forward to our next stay.
I had the most wonderful time with my wife at this campsite! The best thing is that it’s not very far from town but once you’re at the campsite it feels like you’re in the wilderness. The waterfall was unbelievable and so relaxing to sit by the campfire. We will be returning to enjoy this campsite. Mrs. Dargan was a great host and it was great to meet her and everything worked out as planned. The tent and amenities were very clean and everything worked perfectly. It was for sure glamorous camping and I wish we could’ve stayed longer!
This glamp site was so much more than we expected! The Dargen's unique and innovative use of space is exactly what we needed during our trip. It had all the necessities and I mean ALL OF THEM. They were extremely accommodating, more than any hotel I've been to.
The tent itself is a masterpiece, like an extension of home. Stocked with plenty of cookware, a massive yeti cooler, extra blankets, extra propane tanks, and plenty of lighting, it was kind of challenging to want to leave the place.
We went in the Fall so it was a bit nippy, but nothing the wood burning stove couldn't take care of. All in all it was a great trip! We definitely want to return in the Spring with Delilah (our chocolate lab)
Happy Camping :)
Don't miss out on this gem! If you like to camp with all the creature comforts this is the place for you. Private setting with wonderful views, only a few minutes from restaurants & stores if needed. Otherwise, everything that you could ask for at a campsite is provided. Mary was a great hostess & super responsive leading up to our stay, making sure all was well for our arrival. Our family of four along with our four legged kids had a blast! We can't wait to go back!!
We just loved, loved, loved this campsite! It was close enough to everything you may want to see or do in Cashiers area - but it was removed enough that you had an immediate sense of peace and quiet and grace while there. It’s a retreat for the soul this place. The sound of the waterfall constantly running in the background was wonderful - it made us want to take lots of naps! There was all you may have needed or wanted the campsite as far as amenities. We wish we could have stayed for longer - and will definitely be returning. - Vanessa and Terry
Waterfall Cove is a glamping dream! We loved every bit of our experience here. From exploring the forest, cooling off at the stream, enjoying delicious grilled meals in the ambiance of the majestic Blue Ridge mountains. We felt deep in the woods, while town was just a few minutes away. With a sweet outdoor shower available, luxury composting toilet and on demand water, all our comfort needs and wants were easily met. And, MP, our kind host, was super responsive and, in my opinion, had everything covered at the Cove. I look forward to visiting Water fall Cove again!
Fantastic!! The site, the location, the host, the cool temps. Can't say enough how wonderful this little bit of heaven is to experience. You leave all stress behind as you drive the gravel road to the site that is surrounded by mount laurel. The sound of the waterfall and stream relaxes your body and mind. The Yeti cooler and gas grill made meals a snap. We did have a rain shower that inconveniently interrupted dinner but plenty of room inside the tent to finish eating. The weather cleared shortly thereafter and enjoyed a campfire and later some stargazing down near the water.
The location is close to Ingles, restaurants and numerous hikes and waterfalls.
Next visit will add on an additional day or two.
If you are looking for a quick get away, or an extended stay this glampsite is perfect. Technically this is located in a neighborhood, but you would never know it as it's it's own little enclave. The surroundings were just gorgeous. The site was extensively equipped. Just add ice and some food and you were ready to go. Mp was in constant contact to assist in our stay, as well as make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. My family and I cannot wait to come back for another visit. Great location if you want to enjoy what Cashiers and Highlands have to offer, or just sit by the creek and relax. Just can't recommend this beautiful place enough.
We brought our adult family of four plus our dog, Waterfall Cove brought the magic! For six days we explored the stream and marveled at the native NC flora. Wildflowers, lichen/mushrooms, tree species, birds, dragonflies, butterflies, hummingbirds, and all types of healthy stream life. The relaxation was complete and intoxicating. It is a unique spot for deep meditation and true peace. It is an extended and private campsite with 3 levels, 2 fire rings, 1 large tent (we also put up a 6-person and 3-person tents of our own in the lower area). The provided tent is large, dry, has a nice large air bed, wood stove, coleman stove, 2 large doors, 4 windows, solar-charged battery-run lighting system, and all of the gear needed for a great camping trip. The composting toilet is awesome (no smells) and in its own separate smaller tent. There is an outdoor sink, outdoor grill, and outdoor heatable "shower". The local town (Cashiers) is a unique artist community and well worth exploring. Mary was an excellent host who also happens to be a botanist and a kind soul. If you love camping and getting out in nature, this little corner of heaven won't disappoint! We will definitely be coming back!
