When you think about camping, does your mind automatically think of a tent and a fire? Or is it more of an RV in a campground? Do you have arguments of whether or not your way of “sleeping outside” is actually camping? Well, opinions of all kinds obviously exist, but it’s true: camping exists in many forms. So whether you’re a newbie to camping and you don’t know where to start, or you’re a seasoned pro looking for inspiration, here are some kinds of camping to get you started on your next getaway. To backcountry camp, you generally have to go somewhere inaccessible from roads. It can be a mile away from the trailhead or somewhere in the middle of a mountain range during a weeklong trek. The point is you’re away from civilization. You pack in what you can carry, are never without a Swiss Army Knife, and (hopefully) pack out all of your waste and leave everything looking as good (or better) than when you came.

Wonderful helpful people taking care of this campground. The campsites are just beautiful right by the creek and there are acres and acres of trails. And great hot showers. Wonderful place, I would recommend to anyone...
Great family campground!!
If you are looking for a campground with great wi-fi and a modern bathhouse, this campground isn't for you. However, if you are looking for a quiet campground, nestled next to a winding stream you can wade in, with a fantastic family atmosphere, and owned by the friendliest people you may ever meet......Book this campground now! The owners had a fish fry the day we showed up for all of the campers. There was coffee every morning. They hauled a new picnic table to our site to make it nicer for us. There was badminton, and basketball and a playground for the kids. It was a great family camping experience.
Beautiful area, amenities and activities were not quite what was listed. The camp buildings were abandoned and run down. There were portapotties available but not all of them locked. There was a creek and a very small pond that was definately not the lake pictured. There are lakes nearby within a 20 minute drive. The hiking was good. We hiked all the way up a very clear path/road up to the top of the mountain. Did not have much of a view but the trail branched off toward the top so maybe we went a different way. This campsite has a lot of potential and the area is absolutely gorgeous.
For not having been open in years the site was very nice. They have plans to get the showers and bathrooms working when that is done this will be a great site. My only criticism would be that the sites were somewhat close together. If you are in an rv that shouldn't be an issue but with tents it is nicer to have more space. I look forward to seeing the site after the improvements.
The hosts were wonderful and helpful and provided a great spot! The electric hook up and water available was an added bonus! Our favorite part was the most picture perfect creek that adjoined our camp spot. We will for sure be back!
