Casual Camp Ground at the Lake is just that. It's a wooded are in Raleigh that is very casual. Very simple set up but you're close to things to do in Raleigh if you'd like that. If you're trying to get away you need to go further outside the city. The host is delightful and eager to improve their space upon even visitors recommendations.

The site was very different from the photos. In the photos it seems that there is a specific place for camping; however, after about 20 minutes of looking we could find none. When I asked for directions the host was unhelpful with where to park or find the sites. It also mentioned a fire pit, but none could be found. We ultimately left and instant booked with another site nearby because we could not figure out what was her property vs someone else's.
Pretty much just woods on the side of the road, which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for. The instructions weren’t clear and the host was hard to get in touch with. It’s not on Lake Wheeler, but very close by.
