Looking for peace, contentment, and to get away to just unwind? Look no more than our Oasis on Harmon Creek! Pitch your tent, van or popup on or near the bank of our creek with lots of shade and complete privacy. You can drive right up to most sites, weather permitting. You will have access to a fire ring, fire wood, a picnic table, clean drinking water, the creek to explore, and our pond to fish. With 150 acres to explore, you won't lack for lots of nature to enjoy. Our cows, pony, miniature horse, and donkeys are all eager to meet you, as are we! Like us on Facebook (Harmon Creek Farms of NC) for the latest on what's going on here at the farm. :)

Due to recent virus concerns, we have reduced our campsites to 10. Each site is a minimum of 25 yards apart with trees and other vegetation between, and the more remote sites at least 100 yards apart. The pond is still available for fishing at your discretion (social distancing considered).

Sites 1-4 are all on the creek, and are drive up, unless we have had excessive rain. Site one is secluded, private, and is backed by a meadow, allowing plenty of room for your vehicle and multiple tents or shelters.                                                           Site two is our original first campsite, and a favorite among our repeat guests. It has a grassy area for pitching your tent, and a beach area for playing on the creek. Perfect for families, this site will accommodate multiple shelters or tents, has lots of trees for hammocks, and is large enough for your vehicle.  This site has an access drive through it to get to and from site 1, which is approximately 100 yards away. If booking  a large group, book sites 1 and 2, then add up to 10 additional campers per site. There's plenty of room for 6 or more tents between them!

Site three has the most creek frontage of the drive-up sites, and is perfect for popup campers or multiple tent campers.  A small grouping of trees separates this site from a field and the farm road.  Maximum of 8 campers on this site.

Site four is about 50 yards from Site three, which is perfect for families traveling together but in need of separate space. It is short on creek frontage, but is backed by a large field keeping it from feeling closed in. *Update: Site 3 has been expanded to include additional creekfront, as well as separate sleeping and eating areas with room for sleeping and dining tents.*Max 5 campers                                      A picnic table and a fire ring are provided at each site. Please ask about accessibility before booking.

Sites 5-7 are also on the creek, and are more remote. These 3 sites require 4x4 and larger tires to drive up; however, we are happy to ferry you and/or your gear in. They are all wooded providing privacy and easy hammock camping as well. Again, picnic tables and fire rings are provided at each site.

Site 11 has recently been relocated and is currently our most remote driveup site. It is located on a small stream that dumps into the creek approximately 75 yds away. It is composed of trees for hammocks, but has ample cleared space for tents or small self contained RVs. Just on the other side of the stream is a corn field backed by woods with trails for hiking. The site is close - but not too close- to a hard surface road for easy access in and out. It's only downside is it is farthest from the pond and other common areas, so you'd probably want to drive back and forth (approximately 1 1/2 mile) to the pond to fish or pet the animals.

Site 12 is located between sites 2 and 3 on the creek. It is smaller than most other sites, but has a wonderful character and is perfect for single or couple car campers and/or hammock campers. Closest of the creek sites to the office/barn, it is perfect for anyone wanting to be near, but not on, the pond. It's also drive up (weather permitting). Perfect for small groups. Not recommended for more than 4 campers.

Site 10 has been changed from the pond to creek front, and is our newest site. It is LARGE, very private, and drive up by 4wd truck or SUV. The creek frontage is long and it includes a beach where you can put your camp chairs in the water and cool your feet, as well as a deeper area to float or swim in. The entire area is predominately sand with many trees (it's heavily shaded) for your hammock. It's our family's favorite! :) Can accomodate up to 12 campers :)

Please message with questions or to let us know how remote you feel most comfortable before you book, and we will put you in the site that is perfect for you!

Timothy and his wife were very prompt in confirming my reservation. They met me at the main road as suggested. They took me to the camp sites, helped me move the picnic table, showed me where the potable water was available. What a peaceful place. I camped in the shade within 30 feet of a beautiful running stream. The water was so fresh I laid down and fell asleep right in the stream. At night it was so peaceful. Could play the guitar without bugging anybody.

We had a wonderful time camping here! It was absolutely beautiful at our site. We played in the creek, skipped rocks, pet the donkey and two of the horses, and enjoyed fishing in the pond. We can’t wait to come again!

I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to camp privately and in a safe area. The hosts were extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. My boyfriend and I had a great time enjoying the peaceful scenery, fishing, kayaking, and visiting some of the local state parks. We will most definitely camp here again in the future!

Stayed with my brother, 6 year old nephew (his first time camping!), and my dog. We loved the farm and the property. The campsites were private and very spacious. The pond and common area was great with kayaks you can use and potable water. The hosts were wonderful and it was easy to find. Will definitely be back!
