The Honey Hut is great for single or couple travelers wanting to get away to the mountains. It is located across the road from Claxton Farm, and only a few miles from downtown Weaverville and 20 min to downtown Asheville.  Weaverville is a cool little mountain town with nice restaurants, a wonderful bakery, grocery stores, and gift shops.  Area attractions include the French Broad River, Blue Ridge Parkway, Navitat, hiking/biking trails and local breweries.

Things you should bring:  Pillow(s) and sleeping bag or full-sized sheet set and blanket. Towels/washcloths. A bag of ice for the cooler.  Food/drinks.  (You may also want to pick up some kindling for fire starter.)

We provide organic dish soap and organic body soap for the solar shower (cool water). The propane will be provided for the 2 burner cook stove along with firewood for fire pit.  We provide the cookware, tableware, coffee cups, french press, salt/pepper, olive oil, 2 gallons of drinking water (can be refilled), paper towels and trash can.  We provide toilet paper and bags for the portable toilet along with a lined metal trash can for waste.  There is a plug at the parking lot if you need to recharge any electric devices.

Wish I was, on some Appalachian mountain range, got no reason to be there but imagine it would be some kind of change.

Staying at The Honey Hut was a fantastic experience! Kim went above and beyond to ensure that we had an enjoyable trip. She even took time during our stay to stop by and answer questions we had about The Honey Hut's construction and the surrounding area. An overall wonderful host, location, and experience!

Kim and LeElaine could not have been better hosts! They went above and beyond- besides providing all the things listed, they gave us some local recommendations, answered all of our questions about the property, and were just overall kind. The Honey Hut was a perfect fit for us and we will certainly be back sometime!

This spot was exactly as advertised and really enjoyable place to stay. Kim was fantastic and friendly and our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful spot in a private wooded area near hikes. Kim was a great host, and the cabin was clean and serene. Loved sitting out on the deck and looking at the stars.

Kim was a wonderful host! The Honey Hut was private and secluded, with some wonderful mountain views. The interior was neat and tidy and the kitchen had everything you could need. The outdoor deck was a favorite of mine, as well. The location is great, as well...you feel like you are in the mountains, yet you are only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Would definitely recommend this place, and would stay here again.

The Honey Hut was a perfect retreat. I loved the setup and how cozy it was. Despite the rain both days, we were still able to sit outside and enjoy the evening. It was very clean, peaceful and private. The location was great to hit day hikes and enjoy downtown Weaverville. I highly recommend this location!
