Our group of girls really enjoyed staying at this campsite! Todd was very nice and helped us get to the camping area, and it was a perfect jumping off point for climbing at Pilot Mountain all weekend. It was nice to be right on the river. Lots of space and a couple of old buildings near the different camp spots. There was running water from a faucet near the campsite so that was helpful, and there was an outhouse too but I'm not sure if anyone from our group used it.
This is a great little spot. The shelters came in very handy as we had a wet weekend. But thanks to the cool setup we were able to grill/cook and have a small fire all while staying dry in a down pour.
Perfect spot. Will definitely be back.
A true undiscovered paradise!
This camp is on the Little Yadkin River. There are 5 campsites that I saw on the property. Two have power and water. Each of these two have shelters. One of the two sites shelters cover the fire pit and an rustic outdoor kitchen. The other ones shelters cover a picnic table and a rustic outdoor kitchen. Sites 3,4 and 5 are each a bit more secluded. They each have a fire pit and a picnic table. One of them has a grill. Todd and Robin have made a wonderful sandy beach to access the water. This river may be kayakable at times but we didn't try it. It is a 30 minute drive from Hanging Rock State Park and the Dan River Company. This weekend we had the whole place to ourselves and the Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain campgrounds were completely full. This place is a true undiscovered gem. We had to make ourselves leave and we can' t wait to go back. Thanks Todd and Robin for a truly spectactular weekend.
