Pitch a tent or spend the night in the abandoned 1930’s fishing cabin. The cabin was built by a banker from Burgaw for his family to enjoy the river breeze. It has survived decades of hurricanes, standing proud in the river bend. Water, stove and flush toilet available. Very rustic!

We really liked the cabin, there is actually power source there as well. The site could use a little TLC, but it definitely has charm. Great spot for fishing, bird watching and also had a wide variety of wild life due to swampland on one side and a beautiful river on the other. Actually heard the most beautiful owls all night and even heard them mate at one point - which was incredible to say the least. I would come back for sure.

Beautiful views from the windows. The stars are amazing here. Getting comfortable on the bed inside the cabinAwesome vintage cabin!
