Places to see near Rebecca R.’s Land
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Such a great site! Rebecca is a wonderful and helpful host. It rained heavily while we visited but the tents allowed us to dry and fans were in each tent to keep you cool on warm summer nights. Very clean site, tents, and porta potty, and even provided a hand wash station. Highly recommend!!
Fun get away in the yurts
Our group of 8 (kids and dads) really enjoyed the yurts. (Beds, fans what's not to like?) So nice not to have to put up and take down tents. The communal yurt kept us dry during some rain. The proximity to the river was awesome as well. We would definitely stay there again.
Lovely yurts by the river!
Everbear was fantastic - we really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back. The four yurts made camping easy. One is a single, one has two double beds (or one double and one queen?) and two of them have a double and a single bed. The beds were comfortable and clean (although note that the single beds in the 3-person yurts are smaller, perhaps better for a child or smaller adult). Overall, 11 people could fit comfortably!
Everbear Village is at the end of the road at a working farm. We had the whole ‘village’ to ourselves, and because it’s at the end of the road there are no cars or people going by/through the camp area so in that way it’s definitely private. It is a working farm with residences though, so you will see other people around - if you’re expecting to be out in the wilderness this isn’t for you.
The camp area is set up well, with nice trees and a central picnic table and large fire pit. There’s also a 5th tent (open sides) for just hanging out - useful if it’s raining. The porta-potty was super clean, and there was a hand washing station set up next to it. Rebecca had also provided water and firewood, very helpful. It’s obvious a lot of thought and effort has gone in to setting up the camp!
The highlight of Everbear is that you are RIGHT ON the Swannanoa River, and right from the camp area you can walk down to the water and just hang out. We really enjoyed bringing our camp chairs down there, sticking our feet in the water, and listening to the rushing water. The kids enjoyed waking up to the top of the farm road and tubing down a short section over and over again. We also drove ~15 minutes away and did a longer 1-hour float - super fun and easy.
Rebecca was a FANTASTIC host, available to help and answer questions as needed.
I’d highly recommend Everbear Village for anyone looking to get out and enjoy nature, without the hassle of setting up your own tents. Bonus is that you’re also super close to all that Asheville has to offer. We’ll be back!!
Perfect bachelorette weekend
I reserved Everbear Village for my sister’s “Flannel Fling Before the Ring” bachelorette weekend! We did have some guests that couldn’t make it so everyone ended up getting their own beds which worked out. It was a couple of the girls first times camping and they loved it! Everything was very clean and the port-o-potty had just been cleaned on our arrival day! We loved the set up and it was private without feeling like we were deep in the woods alone. The river beside us was beautiful and although it rained and we were not able to float it, we really enjoyed the scenery. Rebecca the host was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful weekend. We will absolutely stay again! My family and I have already planned to bring our little ones back for a cousin weekend next summer.
Private, relaxing, amazing
Place was amazing! Has a group of 8-9 and everyone thought it was great. Plenty, plenty of room to spread out and smartly social distance, even though we were obviously outside. Yurts were very comfortable to sleep in and we all felt safe and loved the privacy. We were restocked with firewood and water multiple times by some of the employees that worked on the farm. Having a river so close to the camp was great. Overall, fantastic experiences had by all and we’ll be back sooner than later!
Had a great time at Everbear Village! Set on a cute farm right on the river, the site was perfect for our weekend stay near Asheville. Plenty of room for 7 of us to have our own space while also having perfect areas to gather for some fun together. Also it was very hard not to kidnap the friendly black cat that we nicknamed Binx!
Family fun at everbear village
We had an incredible time on Rebecca’s land! She was an gracious host and made us feel extremely welcomed. She even brought me fresh flowers from her garden to congratulate us on our wedding the day after we arrived. We had everything we needed, plenty of space, and the communal yurt came in handy when it started to rain. We skipped rocks by the river and Rebecca allowed us to use the tubes to float down stream, which was super fun for the whole family! She also provided firewood, which helped a ton, as we always had a fire going! We will definitely stay at Rebecca’s in the future!
