Oh wow have we found a great camping spot! This site is only 5 and a half miles from downtown Brevard, about a 15 minute drive or less. (As many of you might already know, Brevard is one of the best places in this part of the country for mountain biking.) We think Hayden’s property could be the perfect base camp for any number of outdoor activities and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a spot to pull up their camper van or pitch a tent and relax after a long day in the woods.
Once you turn off of Hendersonville highway, you’ve only got a short distance to go before arriving at the site. Look for the open fence on the left and come on in! There are two fire pits on the property, one of which you can see the moment you turn into the field and another just across the creek. We pulled our van right up to the first one on a nice, level patch of grass and set up camp.
There’s a creek on the property and it’s clear and cool. It made the best bit of background noise for us while eating lunch. Just the thought of wading in up to our knees after a ride or hike made us want to revisit.
Hayden herself is a really sweet, easygoing host who is down to earth and super friendly. She said campers are welcome to some of the vegetables in her organic garden (when the season is right) as well as drinking water which is up by the house. Oh and there are apple trees and blueberries as well…!
If you’re interested in a quiet, private and easy to find campsite with great proximity to Brevard and all that it has to offer, we recommend this one!

What a beautiful and serene private property! If falling asleep to the sound of a babbling stream is your thing this spot is your haven. The host was so sweet and accommodating and her husband just built a wicked clean composting outhouse to make the stay more comfortable. Drive up after a fantastic day of hiking nearby waterfalls and be welcomed by more fireflies than I've been seen... Just wonderful. The spot was lovely and so close to all the fun spoys of wonder around Brevard . Also the firewood is included and she provided a solar shower but the creek is a perfect could down after along day of hiking.
Loved this spot and host and will return! Looking forward to seeing what all they add as it seems they are just getting started and a creative couple w lost of ideas to come to the property soon.

Thanks so much Stephanie! We enjoyed meeting you and your sweet family, and hope to see you again!
Wonderful place to to camp if you want to be near Pisgah and DuPont. The owners are very friendly and take great care of the property, they even offered us free firewood. This is a great location if you want the ease of car camping but without the cookie-cutter nature of a campground. The property is located off a very quiet road and large enough to let the kids and pets run free. We've already booked our next visit back. Definitely recommend.

Thank you Lucas, It was great having you all here! We look forward to seeing you again. Hayden
I had a fantastic stay at Pisgah Forest Mountain Meadow. 5 nights there in June and I still think I could have stayed longer. My dog loved being able to run around the open area and check out the creek and it was great to just hangout taking in the meadow views. The compost toilet was a great convenience and super clean. In addition to the great setup, the location is super convenient to Pisgah National Forest, Asheville, or Brevard (depending on what you’re after), and most of all, Hayden was an awesome host. She was easy to communicate with, super helpful with local tips, and gave us a great overview of the camp when we got there. Would absolutely recommend a stay here!

Thanks Addy! We enjoyed having you here. Hope you’re trip is going great. Hayden
We had such a nice stay at Pisgah Mountain Meadows! Beautiful, private, close to National and State forests and cute downtown Brevard. Great hiking, biking and waterfalls! We would definitely come again!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Wonderful property and location. The host are awesome and we can’t wait to get back!

Thanks Eric! Hope to see y’all again!
Really great spot, easily located and accessible. Nice meadow spots with fire rings and a very civilized composting toilet. Hayden and Steven were very welcoming and hospitable.

Thanks Heather! So glad y’all enjoyed it.
Hayden was a great host and the site was perfect for what we wanted: Quiet, private, space for the kids, nice fireplace, plenty of firewood provided and immaculate compost toilet.
The location is not remote, there are quite a few nearby properties, but is perfectly located if you want to visit Pisgah National Forest and all the rivers and waterfalls in that area.
Thank you for a great stay. Highly recommended.
