We are open and will follow CDC recommendations, where applicable, as described in the document “Reopening Guidance for Cleaning Public Spaces, Workplaces, businesses, schools and homes.” We ask that campers please adhere to social distancing requirements while out and about in our local community. Please wear a mask in public indoor spaces, and maintain 6 ft distance in public outdoor spaces. Transylvania County has a large elderly population and the oldest median age in NC. In addition, our town’s resources are very limited with regard to hospital beds and ventilators. Please help us protect the most vulnerable members of our community. Welcome to Transylvania County, The Land of Waterfalls! Would you like to camp in the mountains, in a meadow, by a stream? Come Camp at Pisgah Forest Mountain Meadows! It’s our 5-acre property in Pisgah Forest that’s a mix of flat and rolling meadows, and a few wooded areas with the north prong of Glade Creek running through it. Let us be your base camp while you explore the wonders this area has to offer. Hike or bike in Pisgah National Forest or nearby Dupont, Fish or paddle the Davidson or French Broad Rivers, and see how many of the hundreds of local waterfalls you can view. Or you can visit the unique local shops and galleries in charming downtown Brevard, and check out the world-renowned Brevard Music Center. If you like beer stop by nearby Oskar Blues or one of Brevard’s other breweries and recount the days adventures over a delicious beverage. All that’s just right here within minutes of the camp! PFMM is in a great location less than 2.5 miles from the intersection of Hwy 64/276 and 280 and the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. Grocery stores, restaurants, Cycling shops, Outfitters, and Ecusta Brewery are all within a short 5 minute drive. Sierra Nevada, the Disney World of breweries is right up the road. It’s a 15-minute drive to DuPont State Forest, a 10 minutes drive to beautiful downtown Brevard, a 45-minute drive to downtown Asheville, and a 20-minute drive to Asheville Regional Airport. A great thing about PFMM’s location is that although it’s not too far off the beaten path, the rural residential setting provides plenty of space and privacy. The property is near the end of a paved, state-maintained road so there’s no thru traffic. We keep an ample supply of dry firewood. For more pics and info on PFMM follow us on Facebook and Instagram- Pisgah Forest Mountain Meadows. We hope to see you here soon! Please note: CHILDREN CAMP FOR FREE. The $10 extra person charge only applies to each adult in your group over the 2 adults included in the base price of the campsite.

Oh wow have we found a great camping spot! This site is only 5 and a half miles from downtown Brevard, about a 15 minute drive or less. (As many of you might already know, Brevard is one of the best places in this part of the country for mountain biking.) We think Hayden’s property could be the perfect base camp for any number of outdoor activities and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a spot to pull up their camper van or pitch a tent and relax after a long day in the woods.

Once you turn off of Hendersonville highway, you’ve only got a short distance to go before arriving at the site. Look for the open fence on the left and come on in! There are two fire pits on the property, one of which you can see the moment you turn into the field and another just across the creek. We pulled our van right up to the first one on a nice, level patch of grass and set up camp.

There’s a creek on the property and it’s clear and cool. It made the best bit of background noise for us while eating lunch. Just the thought of wading in up to our knees after a ride or hike made us want to revisit.

Hayden herself is a really sweet, easygoing host who is down to earth and super friendly. She said campers are welcome to some of the vegetables in her organic garden (when the season is right) as well as drinking water which is up by the house. Oh and there are apple trees and blueberries as well…!

If you’re interested in a quiet, private and easy to find campsite with great proximity to Brevard and all that it has to offer, we recommend this one!

The creek on the property is awesome. Two more campsites are on the other side of it.Western North Carolina is the perfect playground, even in the wintertime. We'll take a fire pit any old day!Naptime, anyone?!

What a beautiful and serene private property! If falling asleep to the sound of a babbling stream is your thing this spot is your haven. The host was so sweet and accommodating and her husband just built a wicked clean composting outhouse to make the stay more comfortable. Drive up after a fantastic day of hiking nearby waterfalls and be welcomed by more fireflies than I've been seen... Just wonderful. The spot was lovely and so close to all the fun spoys of wonder around Brevard . Also the firewood is included and she provided a solar shower but the creek is a perfect could down after along day of hiking.
Loved this spot and host and will return! Looking forward to seeing what all they add as it seems they are just getting started and a creative couple w lost of ideas to come to the property soon.

Wonderful place to to camp if you want to be near Pisgah and DuPont. The owners are very friendly and take great care of the property, they even offered us free firewood. This is a great location if you want the ease of car camping but without the cookie-cutter nature of a campground. The property is located off a very quiet road and large enough to let the kids and pets run free. We've already booked our next visit back. Definitely recommend.

I had a fantastic stay at Pisgah Forest Mountain Meadow. 5 nights there in June and I still think I could have stayed longer. My dog loved being able to run around the open area and check out the creek and it was great to just hangout taking in the meadow views. The compost toilet was a great convenience and super clean. In addition to the great setup, the location is super convenient to Pisgah National Forest, Asheville, or Brevard (depending on what you’re after), and most of all, Hayden was an awesome host. She was easy to communicate with, super helpful with local tips, and gave us a great overview of the camp when we got there. Would absolutely recommend a stay here!

Hayden was a great host and the site was perfect for what we wanted: Quiet, private, space for the kids, nice fireplace, plenty of firewood provided and immaculate compost toilet.

The location is not remote, there are quite a few nearby properties, but is perfectly located if you want to visit Pisgah National Forest and all the rivers and waterfalls in that area.

Thank you for a great stay. Highly recommended.
