    (Dispersed site)
    May 13th, 2018

Located about 40 minutes away from Asheville is a sweet little camping spot called Permaculture Flow. The drive out there from the city is absolutely gorgeous. Give yourself plenty of time as the road winds and curves. We bet you might even want to stop a time or two to check out the view. The site sits right around 3,000 feet! Once you arrive, you’ll meet your friendly host, Freedom!

Freedom is a really nice guy. He’ll show you around the property and give you a quick tour so that you can choose from one of several different dispersed campsites. All of them are in a lovely wood. There are a couple places to pitch a tent just down the hill from Freedom’s house. There are also some really nice campsites up the hill from Freedom’s house, which though the hill is steep, the climb is short (it took is about 10 minutes to get up there). It also levels out a good bit up top and offers a lot of privacy, peace and quiet.

If you’re in your van like we were, you’ll also have some choice on where to park. We chose a level spot not too far from Freedom’s house that had some really nice tree cover. The spot is also close to the toilet and running water that is available to all Hipcampers.

If you’re looking for a backcountry place to camp that is also not too far from Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Rumbling Bald, give this one a look!

Plenty of space at the top of the hill for exploring.Snack time is the best time! This place is so darn pretty! There is a picnic table and grill for you to use.
