I had a great stay here! If you are riding a motorcycle there though, be warned- the driveway down to the campsite is an uneven gravel and grass driveway with sand and river rocks at the bottom! I did manage to get my S1000R down it without dropping the bike(because I'm protective of my bike and have to have it close to me), but it was definitely a task. Would probably be easier if you had a smaller bike, a dirt bike, or an adventure bike.
Cars would have no problem, there's plenty of parking up at the top of the driveway and down by the campsite as well!
Plenty of trees to hang a hammock and Jen is a fantastic host who will tell you all sorts of stories. The creek is beautiful and I wish I'd had more energy to check it out.
I plan to try and visit again, maybe a little better prepared vehicle and camping set up wise (this was my first time camping, so I didn't realize I needed a couple things that would have been really helpful.
Clean and cozy!
Jen was an amazing woman with a beautiful piece of property! We weren’t sure what to expect but felt immediately at home after meeting her. She’s very thoughtful and easy going and is excited to share her creek with good people. The water is crystal clear and sunny as well as plenty of shade in the camping area. I hope anyone who stays keeps it as beautiful as it is if not leaves it even better!
Trashy place and unwelcoming host
It was hard to find a suitable ground to pitch a tent; place looked unkept, trashy and unwelcoming; we pre-purchased wood and requested it to be at the site because we were arriving close to darkness and it was delivered much later.
Great place. We all had a beautiful time. I did have to pick up alot of trash and junk from the site. I stacked it all in one area (see picture).
We caught trout, explored the mountains. Jen had forgotten to have our firewood ready (& the wood of the people who arrived on our 2nd night). She got early the next morn and got the wood for us.
