Relaxing elevated basecamp!
Jane was so kind and welcoming. She has a gorgeous property and where we were near the water there was consistently a pleasant breeze. I had never used hipcamp before but I can't imagine that most camping experiences on here are is as nice as this one was. She is a microgreens farmer and upon arrival we were greeted with tray of live sprouts creatively planted with my husband's name and 40, just for our munching pleasure. She was so sweet to pick up eggs for us from a friend who is a farmer down the road and even left us a little bowl of fresh tomatoes and peaches! We had a nice relaxing get away for my husband's birthday and hope to visit again when the Black Water River is running a little lower. The marina is closer than it seems from the pictures so I would recommend that you are a confident kayaker if you plan on exploring in a small boat from this property. The "Devil's Left Ear" is directly across from the property so perhaps research this particular area before hand if you're looking to explore. We had rented kayaks for the weekend but become intimidated once we heard how easy it was to get lost and saw all the giant fast boats going in and out of the marina. It was however a fantastic elevated basecamp for a day trip kayaking down the Black Water River through the Three Sisters Swamp.
