Serene hay farm setting on 22 acres with rolling fields and wooded areas. We’re located 20 minutes from downtown Asheville and offer a beautiful setting with seven self-serve camp sites. We may be around the farm working and living but we will give you all the privacy you may want and need during these strange times.

This campground is for primitive camping, there is potable water available from spigots located near the farmhouse and pond. Each campsite has a firepit, yay!

For the health and safety of all of our campers and our farm, we ask that you refrain from using fireworks. Thanks for understanding.

NO SHOWERS OR RESTROOMS, we don't want there to be any confusion, we do not have any restrooms. You should bring a shovel or digging device for your cat-hole. If you don't want to dig a cat-hole, please bring your own portable potty system, we like the Luggable Loos.

Bring your TENT or RV/TRAILER, pick a site of your choosing, stay a night or a week. As always, leave no trace.

Please read the site descriptions carefully before booking, thank you.

Sites 3 and 4 are the only sites suitable for RV and Trailer Campers, the rest are either too small for a turn around or too steep, thank you for understanding.

Site #1: Hilltop site with shade and good views, 4 wheel drives and some front wheel drives can make it to this site. This site is a large area that can support multiple tents. Drive up to the farm house and take a right up the hill along the left side of the trees. Once you're at the end of the tree lined path, turn left and it's straight ahead about 100 yards. It's a 200 yard hike from the parking area (near the front of the farmhouse) if your vehicle won't make it up the hill.

Site #2: Hilltop site in the open, excellent views, 4 wheel drives and some front wheel drives can make it to this site. This site is a large area that can support multiple tents. Once you enter the property take a right (across the road from the "campground rules" sign) up the hill along the left side of the trees. Once you're at the end of the tree lined path, turn left and it's straight ahead about 100 yards. It's a 200 yard hike from the parking area (near the front of the farmhouse) if your vehicle won't make it up the hill. From the parking area, go up the hill along the left side of the trees. Once you're at the end of the tree lined path, turn right and it's straight ahead about 100 yards.

Sites #3 and #4 are close to one another in an open field.

Site #3: Valley site in the open, good for trailer campers. Easy access from the left side of our driveway. We do not have any water/electricity hookups or a dump station.

Site #4: Valley site in the open, good for trailer campers. Easy access from the left side of our driveway. We do not have any water/electricity hookups or a dump station.

Site #5: Partially wooded site behind our barn, shady, and easy access for any vehicle...except RVs and Trailers. This site is not recommended for trailer campers due to the narrow road/path between our barn and creek. Take a left after the "campground rules" sign, then park behind our barn. Pick a good spot to camp, you'll see the firepit.

Site #6: Hilltop site in the open, excellent views, WALK UP SITE ONLY. It is near an old family cemetery. Park at the front of our barn, walk up the hill and continue around the top of the pasture (about 200 yards) until you're close to the cemetery. The cemetery is private party and we ask that you not trespass, plus it's creepy, so don't camp there if you're faint of heart.

Site #7: Hilltop site with excellent views. Exceptionally private and in our woods, WALK-UP SITE ONLY. Park at the front of our barn, hike behind the barn to a path that leads up the hill. Once there, hike approximately 150 yards up a steep hill along the right side of our pasture. This is for the adventurous types, must be willing to be alone in the woods with deer, turkey, bobcats, coyotes, and possibly bears... camp at your own risk.

In every walk with nature one receives far more than he/she seeks.

Jay's place is beautiful. You can see for miles. We had a great night camping on top of the hill overlooking the property. Jay was very kind, welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Jay was very helpful and there are quite a few sites on the property to choose from. We camped out on the hilltop and it was amazing! Almost hesitant to say too many good things so that it doesn’t end up always booked! But in all seriousness, great site and highly recommended

Jay is awesome. Our hosts could not be more accommodating. The property is a mix of rolling hay filled hills with mixes of old barns The farm house is awesome and the tree house is great for this who have the guts to go up. (if not the swing is great) we found a brand new bee hive and enjoyed the area. Ask Jay to share the video we created while there.

This was the perfect get away for us, Jay and his wife were welcoming and helpful! We choose a hilltop campsite with amazing views, and were delighted with how private and comfortable our space was. We could just barely see one other group of campers on the next hill over and at night we could see the light from a few camp fires, but other than that, it was completely private. No noise except for turkeys and cows during the day, and coyotes at night!
We will absolutely be back!

Jay is a very chill host, very friendly and accommodating. His property offers lots of options for the sites depending on if you want to be set back in the trees or on top of a hill for excellent star gazing.

Jay’s property is beautiful! Our spot was at the top of this lovely hill next to a beautiful farm. We gazed at stars in the open field and were greeted by cows close to our site one morning it was adorable. We saw lots of different kinds of wildlife. Jay was a great host, he let us know about the history of the property which we found very interesting. We will definitely be returning.

Gorgeous spot in the mountains near Asheville. Lots of rain before we got there so with wet grass couldn’t pull the Airstream to the top of the field for the views but beautiful none the less.
