NERO COFFEE + CAMP
Nero Coffee is a local coffee brand based in the mountains on Western North Carolina, so when you camp at Nero Coffee + Camp you can enjoy a great cup of coffee (free coffee in my "coffee shed" on property!) and enjoy a relaxing spot in the mountains.
Nero Coffee's mission is to create connection between people through conversations over shared coffee outdoors.

Nero Coffee's mission is to create connection between people through conversations over shared coffee outdoors. I started Nero Coffee in 2019, and I just purchased this 6 acres near DuPont State Forest to share my land and create my own coffee campground to continue growing the mission. Nero Coffee + Camp is just in its beginning stages but I am continually making improvements and open to feedback and ideas! Coffee, Hiking, and Camping - Is there anything better?
When you arrive you can set up camp any where along the driveway. There are no designated sites so feel free to claim your spot. My favorite is to the right of the creek where you can hear the water babbling.
Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :)
My campsites are a few miles to anywhere to get food so I have a small selection of snacks and breakfast items available for purchase there as well.
I have fire pits, plenty of firewood, tables and a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If I'm home and you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore.
You will be about 5 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I also guide "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions.

Coffee Campground was a great spot to stay on my travel through North Carolina. The site was very close to DuPont State Forest; which had a ton of hiking and mountain bike trails as well as what was labeled as Offroad trails for vehicles. Katlyn was very accommodating by preparing a coffee bar and site for us at short notice. And Hootie (the corgi) was very friendly. I would stay here again if I’m ever back through the area; and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay!
Katlyn was an excellent host! Her camp is in an outstanding location! Close to great hiking, biking, and fly fishing. Easy to run into town for restocking on provisions. Level, large, sites for your ground or rooftop tent. The coffee shed is a great perk, the coffee was so delicious I bought some to take home. I got to meet and share local hikes and camping stories with Katlyn and her sweet corgi Hootie. I highly recommend!

Thank you, Mark! Glad you enjoyed your stay! You are seriously welcome back any time.
The driveway up to the campsite it pretty steep but we were able to make it in our sprinter van. It was a nice quiet spot to stay for the night and Katlyn was super nice and helpful.

Glad you were able to make it up. Thanks fir staying! It is definitely bumpy and steep for about a quarter mile up the road. For others reading this I do recommend going slow until you get to my land where it is flat.
Peaceful clear campground. Loved hearing the trickle of water from the nearby stream and loved how Katlyn offered some of her camping gear to use. The coffee house is perfect. Try the coffee it's amazing 😃

Thank you Johanna! I am just now reading this, and so appreciate it. Come back any time!
Amazing place to camp! The coffee was a nice treat after a snowy stay.
The road leading up is a bit bumpy but my friend’s rear wheel drive made it up and down in the snow no problem.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! That was a such beautiful snow! Glad you enjoyed the coffee too. Come back any time!
do yourself a favor and stay at nero coffee campground! katlyn is such a friendly and helpful host, and it doesn’t hurt that her pup is too! easy to find, clean and comfy, and a great bathroom! what more do you need? good firewood and even better coffee? she’s got that too! seriously get yourself a cup of that coffee to warm up in the morning...and then just go ahead and buy a whole bag! there were so many small thoughtful touches, not to mention the proximity to some of wnc’s best outdoor spots. 10/10 would recommend, we can’t wait to come back!

Ahhh! This is the kindest review ever! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Please come back any time :)
Very friendly host, nice quiet spot for the night.
