This site is about 10 minutes away from downtown Weaverville. If you go into town, be sure to check out Well Bred Bakery & Cafe, it's a cute little spot with delicious treats.

This site is also only about 5 minutes away from the North Carolina Historic Site, the Vance Birthplace, a good place to stop for history buffs. If you're coming from Asheville, you'll pass it on the right hand side - it's the place with the log cabins!

The site itself is a bit off the beaten path which means peace and quiet. You'll have five acres all to yourself of wooded property. There aren't any marked trails for you to explore but there is the gravel road that you came in on that we walked a bit just to explore.

If you're looking for a mellow place for a wooded picnic and or a place to read a book and relax in nature, this is it. There isn't much to do right from this site and there also isn't much of a view but there are some fun things to do just a short drive away!

Dinner in the woods is always a good time. The host, Gary, says it's fine to open the gate and drive on through and park for the night in the clearing if that feels ok with you. It's also fine to park in front of it. Caroline going for a short hike to scout out the property which extends up this road and to the right. We made it!
