If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was a great camping experience, with great sites and great hosts. The site I stayed at was #2 and it came with a picnic table, a raised platform for the tent, and a portable fire pit. It was very clean and it was tucked into the woods which made it very private which we liked. The hosts, Morgan and Angie, were very kind to us. Angie greeted us upon arrival and gave is information about good trail so walk on and about their property. She made us feel very welcomed. Morgan was also very nice. He brought the fire pit out for us even though it was still drizzling which was very nice of him, he was also very welcoming. All in all this was a great campsite and we will definitely come back next time we can. I would highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking in this area.
This camp site location was perfect. River tubing, hiking and local shopping and restaurants within 15 minutes. Morgan and Angie were superb camp hosts. They went above and beyond, friendly and informative.
We will definitely be back! Thank you!!
Morgan & Angie were awesome! Very helpful with suggestions with what to do in the area and just overall welcoming people. We stayed at site #2, very short walk to the bathroom and shower facility, which is kept very clean. The site was beautiful, looked very well kept. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back!
We loved our stay here. The site was nicely maintained and easily accessible to the bathroom. The hosts were so incredibly nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to be sure that we had a wonderful expereience....and we did!
Four night stay at upper dream
Great site, location and hosts. Campsite was equipped with picnic table and tent pad, a fresh covering of mulch and firewood was provided. Excellent bath facilities.
We spent two days in the DuPont State Forest and a day at Pisgah National. There's enough at DuPont alone for a week.
Hosts were friendly and helpful and great communication when setting the trip up. Highly recommend.
Wonderful time in the woods
This spot was really great!!! A nice area to pitch your tent (can’t be too big!), a picnic table, and a cool fire pit to use. Felt secluded even though we could hear neighbors out on their deck nearby (it was 4th of July weekend). The toilet and shower area were super clean and the trash bins were emptied everyday. The shower had great pressure and was so nice and hot!! They even provided shampoo/conditioner and body wash- so nice!
Lastly, communication with Morgan was easy. We were lucky enough to see the elusive Blue Ghost fireflies, which was a true treat.
Keep an eye out for poison ivy- I removed some from a stump right by where we parked and there is some close behind the tent area.
Bring big spray!
Bring a grate to cook on if you plan to use the fire pit to cook in/on, as well as some good firewood of your own.
Bring a towel for showers!
Keep food off the ground and put it away in your car when sleeping to keep critters out.
Check out Pearson Falls, just 15 minutes away and a very short hike- gorgeous!
Stop in Saluda and check out the stores and cafes, etc. - such wonderful people.
Enjoy the beauty!
Very private campsite
Stayed at site #2. Very private location. We slept in hammocks, so did not use tent pad. Pad is relatively small. Picnic table is brand new. Fire pit is available, but no grill. Shower/toilet facility was good. It is setup for one person. There is wildlife in the area. So it is important to put away food and trash.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.
