Beautiful camp site with great long range views! You are welcome to pitch your own tent or hang your hammock wherever you want on top of the mountain. You have the entire mountain top to yourself, the closest residence is my own and it is in the valley so you have great privacy. Close to multiple great towns. Weaverville and Burnsville are both 10 minutes away. Asheville is about 20 minutes away and downtown Mars Hill is about five minutes. Easy, quick access to main roads if you want to go exploring in town. Mount Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many hiking trails are all within comfortable driving distance.

Expect to see wildlife, my land has Turkey and Deer. You are also free to come get some farm fresh eggs from my Chickens or just pet the goats and take in the farm.

During the summer we have Blackberries to pick, and you are free to use anything in the garden. Usually have Corn, Tomatoes, Jalepenos, Peppers, Okra, and some other things also.

Super beautiful property with happy, social goats and productive chickens! Beautiful views from the top of the hill all day and night, and very kind hosts! Firewood was placed near the fire pit before we even arrived and there's a large tent to camp in if you prefer that. The campsite is huge, however, so there's plenty of room to pitch your own tents. We got very lucky and caught Tom on his way out and were gifted delicious eggs from his chickens (which we cooked for breakfast). We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the neighborhood.

Fire pit - equipped with fire wood (felt very spoiled about this)Huge flat place for camping and everything else!Beautiful view of the mountainsWe pitched our own tent and enjoyed the slow and late sunset

Our Minie Bell stay was wonderful! The views are great and the campsite is conveniently located close to several hiking trails and a short drive from Asheville. The owner is very welcoming and attentive.

Great place to camp! Very private and lovely views. Definitely need a vehicle with good ground clearance to get to the top to drop off your supplies. We loved everything about this location and we plan to go back in the fall. It's also a great place to camp with your dogs. So much room for them to run and play. Great place Wade!

If you are near Asheville and looking to camp, go out of your way to get here. Absolutely beautiful land, wish we could have stayed longer but enjoyed every second we were there.

Minie Ball saved the day! My friends were taking me on my first camping trip for my birthday, however, all the good campsites they knew of were closed. We scrambled for an hour trying to forgive out what to do when I remembered I saw a site called hip camp. Minie Ball was direct book so we didn't have to wait and it was inexpensive. The view was phenomenal and it was pretty secluded. If you hike to the top, it's a pretty straight incline all the way up, but once you reach it, you realize how worth it, it was.
Also, Thomas was awesome. He wasn't home when we arrived but he brought us up some firewood and water to put it out if needed.
