Welcome to Tent Cabin 2, nestled in the woods on the side of a hill. We are in Marshall, NC a small, but growing mountain town, about thirty minutes drive from Asheville. You can enjoy the mountain breezes on the front porch and you will have a comfortable sleep in nature in a queen sized bed with sheets and towels provided. There is a short walk to the bath house where you can have a hot shower powered by propane gas. There you will also find shampoo, conditioner and body wash so you can pack light as there is about 1/4 mile hike to your cabin. Cookout with the gas grill at your cabin, which also includes pots. pans, utensils, cups, and plates. You can use the provided coffee percolator on the side burner of the grill for that all important morning jolt!

The area has plenty of activities including zip lining, rafting, kayaking, and hiking. Downtown Marshall has bars and restaurants with live music and also its own microbrewery. If you want more urban fare, Asheville is about a thirty minute drive and has a vibrant downtown with lots of sought after restaurants and is known as Beer City. We look forward to your stay!

Whoa! Stuart and Kenny are amazing hosts! These two Tent/Cabins are beautiful and the bathhouse was a godsend. If you have people in your group / or it's about time for that shower on a long road trip this would be an amazing spot to stop! Located just in the mountains above Asheville the views on the drive are amazing and the space away from everything is lovely! Even the rain over night we were completely protected and the rain was so peaceful. Didn't get a chance to start up a fire but even withought they provided everything we needed from towels and soap to a grill with pots and pans. Again, a great place to step away and experience the stillness of life without too much work just remember to bring your own toothbrush, food and drinks!! Highly recommended!!

Coffee in the morning was bliss.
Cabin 2 - from every angle looks marvelous!
Getting "lost" in this beautiful field. The rain over the past few days gave it so much life and in return gave us life!

I loved my stay at Hillside. It was incredibly peaceful. Stuart, the host, was kind quick to answer all the questions I had, you could tell there was so much care and effort put into the property. This was the perfect place for me to reconnect with myself, and with nature. The tent was spacious and clean and even though you are propped up on a wooden platform, you’ll felt right in the middle of the woods and with nature. It rained a couple times but the thick exterior tent was enough protection to cover the actual tent along with the porch. The porch was the perfect place to read, journal, meditate, and large enough for me to do yoga. The hot water in the very clean bathroom was an amazing perk. I highly recommend staying here, I cannot wait to come back again!

When I wasn't resting my feet on this table, I was eating off of it. The walk up to the cabin. Cabin 1 for one please!Inside of cabin 1I added the lights, I usually bring them camping. It was great, but I ended up turning them off and just using the lamps provided with the site.

We only had the chance to stay at Tent Cabin 2 for one night - so we didn’t get to really appreciate the space as much as if we had more time to stay. That being said, our one night was very peaceful. The canvas tent was set up excellent and I loved that there was an additional canvas roof that provided shelter over the tent and the sitting area outside the tent itself. The bed was beautifully made, and a lot of thought went in to the visual aesthetics of the camp.

As far as location, you are tucked in the woods right along a slope. It’s quiet except for the sounds of nature. There is a short walk from your car to the tent, but it’s well worth it in my opinion for the privacy. The bathhouse is well kept and very nice in design.

If you’re looking for a space that puts you in nature, is private, but allows you a bit more luxury than just pitching your tent - this is it!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at the Hillside tent cabin! The cabin was adorable and very comfortable. All the details had been thought through ahead of time and Stuart provided everything we could possibly have needed. The bath house was so quaint in the middle of the meadow and a hot shower cannot be underestimated! Downtown Marshall was a pleasant surprise and the drive to Asheville was a breeze. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the tent cabins and would recommend to anyone in the area. We’re looking forward to staying again in the future!!
