This site is private, very level and about 300 feet from the creek. There are trails to the creek for fishing. There are walking paths around the horse pasture. There is a small pond which eventually will be stocked with trout. Much is in process right now. We are located in the Big Ivy area of the small farming town of Barnardsville. Just 15 minutes off of I-26. Navitat Zip

Just 15 minutes off of I-26. Navitat Ziplines is 4 miles from us. Pisgah National Forest is 2 miles. The forest has miles of horseback riding trails and Douglas Falls at the end. Access to the Blueridge Parkway is best through Weaverville, a great little town with many amenities. Mount Mitchell to the North is updated and the highest elevation east of the Mississippi. Head South towards Asheville for many mile marker hikes and adventures. I am not a campground. I will allow good stewards of nature stay temporarily.

This location was so private and picturesque! An absolutely pristine little spot to set up camp for a few nights. The sounds of the creek were perfect to fall asleep to. Kathy was lovely and we felt very welcome and safe.

A perfect campsite for a weekend getaway. My boyfriend and I wanted to get out of the city for the weekend and this was the perfect spot. The campsite was open and level with a great fire pit that (that Kathy had lit when we got there!) Our pup loved the stream that was a 200 ft walk from the site had a blast running around the spacious camping area. Kathy filled us in on the future developments that are in the works and we would love to come back and check out the progress. Awesome place!

Great spot tucked in the trees. Flat, easy to set up. Very quiet and peaceful. Kathy is a great and very personable host. About 20 minutes to several good hikes. We will definitely go back.

We were impressed by Kathy's deep respect for the land, and the love and care she puts into everything she does. She takes her job as host to heart, and made sure to check on us often while still respecting our privacy. It is a lovely place close to many great hikes, & we look forward to future stays there.

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s farm. She was very friendly. The site is spacious, although the road leading to it was very narrow, it was a bit challenging in our 34ft rv. The place is private and peaceful with creek sound on the background. I highly recommend checking this place out!!

Hipcamper Karen

What a fun, outstanding host! We had some great conversations with her. She provided all the firewood we wanted for the beautiful firepit, the rest was up to us. Minor con is some traffic noise, but that ended almost completely by 8 pm. K. is self-building a sweet little off-grid tiny cabin to rent out up the stream, which will be beautiful when finished soon. Added benefit, there is an angora goat farm and fiber studio right up the road. I had so much fun visiting the studio, communing with the goats and chatting with the owner, Marcia! We highly recommend and would return.

Our beautiful, peaceful site.Pixie, one of the nearby goats on goat farm.

Nice spot to park our camper for two nights. Loved the babbling creek. The spot was level and easy for us to get to. Firewood and gorgeous fire pit were supplied but we sadly didn't end up with time to use them. Host was kind and welcoming.
