Cozy for sure
Cozy is a great explanation of this spot. My family had a great time. We explored surrounding areas during the day and relaxed on the property in the evenings. The sound of the brook was an added bonus. The cabin was simple and clean. The property was gorgeous. Our daughter played in the water and our dog roamed around too. We'll definitely be back.
This is a great spot! You are camping in Jane's backyard, by a little creek that runs down the property. She has set up a cabin with electricity, a large table, and cots. However, we chose to set up our tent behind it and just use the cabin to store food in overnight. Unfortunately, though you can't see it, you can hear the highway, which runs parallel to the property. However, the sound of the creek is really lovely and there are lots of great trails nearby. This is a comfortable, easy home-base.
Ichobod Crane’s Cabin was an amazing place to spend an evening. Even though it’s not terribly far out in nature the site is so well tucked away you wouldn’t know it. The cabin far exceeded our expectations & the property was gorgeous. The waterfalls & creek were a perfect backdrop for a night by the campfire. Our dogs fell madly in love with wading in the creek to cool off from the hot summer sun. I would highly recommend this cabin. It was a delightful experience.
I had a great stay at the cabin! It was clean and cozy and kept us out of the rain. Jane was very welcoming and came out to direct us as soon as we arrived! The waterfall next to the cabin was very relaxing to listen to during the evening.
Jane is a wonderful host!!! She was very helpful throughout the entire process from booking until check out. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner and made sure my stay in the cabin was enjoyable (she even suggested a hike through the Roan Highlands that follows the AT and it was awesome!). The cabin is perfect and was exactly what I expected and it was so nice to fall asleep with the sound of the creek outside. Would definitely recommend staying here and I plan on returning!
