The cabin has electric and two sturdy army cots are provided to sleep on. You may also use the small couch or bring your own air mattress. There’s a fire ring and hammock to relax on just outside the cabin. The water and toilet access is inside the owner’s home, right next to where you park. There’s a private entrance on the side of the house, through the laundry room.

The quaint town of Spruce Pine is only a 10 minute drive, where you can enjoy activities such as tubing, kayaking, or fishing on the North Toe River, or check out all the quaint antique and art shops downtown. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just another 15 minutes where you can hike the Linville Gorge and take in the mountain views along the way. For nightlife, try out Burnsville’s Homeplace Brewery or just sit outside by the fire and enjoy the stars.

Cozy is a great explanation of this spot. My family had a great time. We explored surrounding areas during the day and relaxed on the property in the evenings. The sound of the brook was an added bonus. The cabin was simple and clean. The property was gorgeous. Our daughter played in the water and our dog roamed around too. We'll definitely be back.

This is a great spot! You are camping in Jane's backyard, by a little creek that runs down the property. She has set up a cabin with electricity, a large table, and cots. However, we chose to set up our tent behind it and just use the cabin to store food in overnight. Unfortunately, though you can't see it, you can hear the highway, which runs parallel to the property. However, the sound of the creek is really lovely and there are lots of great trails nearby. This is a comfortable, easy home-base.

Jane’s property is beautiful. The cabin was perfect, simple, clean, literally right beside a really nice creek. Cots were very comfortable. Everything about the stay there was great.
