Hyacinth's Barnyard is a beautiful property with every amenities you could think of. The cabin is compact and well equipped with a comfortable bed, A/C, a microwave, a small fridge and others. There is a pool on the property, along with a blue berry patch and many cute farm animals. Elaine is incredibly helpful and caring. I highly recommend staying here if you are near the Durham area.

My girlfriend, myself, and our large dog stayed in the tiny house for two nights. We really enjoyed it and hope to return. A large blueberry patch next to the tiny house is peaceful to walk in. Bottled water is available from the host, but bring your own reusable bottles if you want to avoid the plastic waste. I'm 5'11" and had just enough room to fit in the lofted bed comfortably. The lower bed had a bit more room, but it was too small for us to share. Both beds are very comfortable and make for a good night's sleep. We were there during 90 + degree weather and the AC worked well to keep the room cool. The site is quiet and secluded and there are a wide range of farm animals and lots of pretty trees surrounding the site.
The Hyacinth's Barnyard was amazing and a perfect stay for me and my boyfriend, who were looking for a tiny home in the middle of nowhere for the weekend. The farm has a friendly dog, cat, chickens, goats (babies too!), ducks, and even a llama - it was so fun to explore! Elaine was an amazing and friendly host as well. She gave us food and entertainment recommendations in the area that made our stay one of the best, kick back weekends we ever had. The tiny home was super cute and made a cozy retreat. There's also a pool right next to the tiny home that made for such a fun night, swimming and star gazing. For the price, I'm tempted to drop out of school and move in permanently (my boyfriend had to talk me out of it). Thanks for all the fun, Elaine!
Such a perfect spot to relax or be adventurous. Loved tiny living. Will be back to visit this beautiful and private and best hipcamp site I've found!
Our host, Elaine; was helpful and very hospitable. She helped us locate the place upon our arrival, as the wooden sign was not visible from the road at night. The cabin was warm and cozy. I do recommend getting a portable shower next to the port-a-john for more convenience, but overall we had a decent experience and our purpose was served!
This was a wonderful tiny house. With everything you would need and more. My children truly enjoyed the pool and I truly enjoy the air conditioning.
We had a great stay.
Had a great weekend!
Really cute tiny house, with a pool next to it. Private and quiet, clean. Really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend to others.

A portable shower is in the future plans but that would also involve some expensive work such as digging and installing water pipes out to the cabin as well as an on demand heater for hot water as most folks do not want cold showers. This kind of upgrade is not cheap
