Campsites are in the woods behind my house.  Water is from a spigot on the side of my house.    One, and only one, site has a table (handicapped) and a raised grill for cooking.  That is the site closest to the house.  That site has adjacent parking but is not drive-through.  All other sites are drive-through and have only tent pads and rock fire rings.  There are places where more campsites could be developed, but at present, only five are.  A brook (barely big enough to babble), runs through the property.  The property has 8-10 acres of rolling grassland and ca. 20 acres of forested, mountain-side land.  About four miles from the Appalachian trail and about six miles from the Nantahala River which is one of the premier trout streams in the eastern United States.  About 7 miles from the county courthouse where are numerous motels and restaurants, and three museums: Macon County Historical, Scottish Tartans, and Gem and Mineral.  About 45 miles from Cherokee, NC and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
