Update!! My tractor just broken so the grass is tall in the open field... i am keeping things mowed at the campsite.  Open for Cov-19 issue. 9 acres available to spread out. Great way to maintain social distance and have fun outside the house.

Most days I can be found just beyond the drive way with the purple $4 egg sign & $13 free range chickens for sale; if interested please help yourself and or send a message. the sign is next to my neighbors white house. I do not own a phone and cell service on my tablet can be challenging, a message via hip camp is the best way to get me. If you would like to meet please send me your estimated time or arrival I’ll make sure I’m available, other wise enjoy your stay, no contact is needed

Please enter the camp side where the purple camp sign is. Once you are on the camp side anywhere you can drive is my property, the campsite is surrounded by deep cavernous creeks.

Rest and relaxation are not the only things you will find at this peaceful hideaway from the city life. Upon entering the lush green landscape, your senses are immediately engaged as you can hear the rustle of the trees and the chirping sounds of birds. A sense of calm enthralls you first encountering the creek where campsites are sprinkled on either side where at night you can see the fireflies light up the sky. The experience of being with nature and stepping away from the hectic day to day life is well worth the visit. You are free to drive right up to your camp site, but if conditions are wet, you may need to park near the entrance and pack equipment down. Also please bring bug repellent.

This weekend trip was booked somewhat last minute on a whim and we could not have been more pleased. We were met on site by the owner who was genuinely friendly and accommodating. He directed us to the best spot for set up, mowed the area flat, provided us with firewood gathered for the first night, a heavy tarp for the foundation and portable commodes. He was knowledgeable, giving insider tips and told us of the history of the land. We were encouraged to explore all of its wonders. He raises animals on the land as he farms, and we were welcomed to go meet the animals. There's a beautiful creek that runs through the property, easily accessed and scouted.
Our position was nestled back in a field, encircled by trees with a wide, clear view of the night sky. Through the entirety of our visit, we felt at peace, secure and secluded.
We will absolutely return.

Such a great host! I was met when I arrived, shown around and was able to pick where I wanted to camp. Emmanuel then mowed the area very quickly since the spot I chose hasn’t been used recently. This was my first hipcamp experience and I had a great time. A very quiet spot, felt like I was miles away from anything! I will definitely be back!

On a recent road trip, Caroline and I stopped at the Homestead Asili. Located in the town of Woodleaf, North Carolina, it’s only about an hour north of Charlotte. We think it’s a great spot for a little weekend getaway, especially if you’ve been putting a lot of time in the city.

Emanuel, the host, is super friendly and happy to show you around his property. He’s got about 18 acres of land for you to choose from. Some of his favorite spots are just a short walk from where you can park. They’re flat, mowed and near a stream. There’s also some really beautiful mature trees for you to string up a hammock or seek shelter from the sun.

We found his land to be beautiful and peaceful. If you’re interested in homesteading you should know that he had some baby micro greens growing, had a bit of homemade kombucha in the works and is raising ducks, chickens, two kinds of pigs and is expecting sheep any day!

We got to meet some of his animals and they were so sweet. We absolutely fell in love with the pigs - they’re faster than we realized and super cute!!! If you go, hopefully you’ll be able to watch them chase each other around the field.

If you’re looking for a quiet and private place in central North Carolina, on which to pitch your tent or park your RV, this is it!

What a great idea to mix their water and food in a pool! This was my favorite spot.A creek that cooled off our feet and keep the animals hydrated. One of the things we love the most is learning new things about the places we're camping. This here is rapeseed aka canola.

Everyone has a story and Emanuel’s is great! It’s a cool homestead tucked off the road. My kids (6, 8 and 10) camped out on the other side near the river. We had the whole place to ourselves. Kids enjoyed the pigs and animals. Site was great bondock style camping. You could see the stars forever. Thanks for hosting and we’ll be back for sure!

Luscious farm land tucked away and very private campsite. Emanuel was a great host and communicated well. I would note that 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the campsites along the creek. I would highly recommend this Hipcamp and we will definitely be back.

Emanuel was great! We booked day of and arrived around 7pm and went straight to camp. Emanuel came to check on us around 8 or so and gave us some firewood and eggs! (we texted and arranged before hand) I loved how secluded the camp was. I will definitely come back.
A couple of notes: It's high summertime and the mosquitos next to the creek made this trip almost unbearable (but apparently Emanuel makes his own bug repellant for the sites but didn't have time to spray since we booked day of). So when the mosquitos were gone we will be back!
The fire was a little dirty from people before us throwing in trash, which is just not cool. There was also a broken chair when we arrived. None of this I think is the host fault, but the people before us. We booked the day off so there was probably not enough time to get out to the site to clean it.
Last, the Grass was HIGH! He's not joking when he says his mower is broken. Not a big deal for us in a suv, but a little car would get lost. There's a site right up front that little cars can get too, but beyond that its pretty deep!.

Seriously this place was Awesome and we are coming back!
