Staying at one of Matt and Robin’s riverfront cabins was amazing! It exceeded our expectations. We parked and then Matt took our things down to the site with his ATV. We walked behind him (downhill about .5 mile). Matt showed us the property and the riverfront is breathtaking. The cabin had everything that we needed and we felt right at home. There is a bathroom separate from the cabin. Two things to keep in mind: There is another cabin on the property so there may be other people, and the walk back to the parking area is pretty steep. Matt and Robin were great hosts and we are telling all of our friends about their property!
Amazing host, cozy cabin
Matt’s cabins were so cozy and better than we could have imagined. Everything was clean and decorated for fall. Matt provided many amenities such as tons of firewood, comfy chairs to sit around the campfire, and a clean bathroom. The fire pit was our favorite spot. The land was beautiful and we had fun exploring and relaxing in the woods around the cabin. The wood burning stove in the cabin kept us warm at night with all the kindling Matt provided. We would definitely go here again!
A magical getaway by the water
Matt was such an awesome guy with even better stories. His cabins were so magical. Right next to the river, tons of land to hike on, and all the amenities you could ask for! The wood stove keeps everything nice and toasty for the cold nights at the bottom of the mountain. Was the best place we could've asked for, for our first time visiting NC. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return.
