Earthshine is a place where you can disconnect at a secluded mountain oasis with picturesque views and acres of forest to explore. While here, guests are encouraged to develop connections with self, others, and the natural environment. Earthshine began in 1989 as a farm-turned outdoor education center. Since then, Earthshine Lodge has gone through many changes although at its heart, the mission to provide extraordinary life-changing experiences through connection to nature has always stayed the same.

Peaceful llama land!

Beautiful! Site managers were so nice and knowledgeable about the area. Room was clean and had exactly what we needed.

Earthshine Lodge

Magical place

Rustic lodge in a magical spot near Lake Toxaway. Sat on the deck with coffee looking out over the Great Smokey Mountains; Explored the trails around the property. Meals were down-home goodness, and there's beer, cider, and wine available with dinner (yay!). Shelby (the chef) was very accommodating about my teenager's dietary limitations. Accommodations were simple and very comfortable.

Beautiful lodge and views

The hosts were accommodating and stayed up late to meet us upon our arrival. The rooms were clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space upstairs for children or shorter people to stay. I don’t feel that the the stay was worth the money we spent. The hipcamp listing was unclear to me, and I was under the impression that we would be in our own cabin. The lodge is one building and has rooms throughout, plus a common lounge area, main level, upstairs, and covered deck dining areas. There were not many guests there while we we there and it was quiet. I would stay here again, but only it was about half of what I paid this time or there were more experiences included in the price (~160 after hipcamp fee).
