Bring your own gear & tent and pitch it here where you see the green tent. You'll have access to your own private potty-tent, and the shared spaces including: solar heated shower tent, picnic table and firecircle.
Enjoy a solar-heated shower, and experience the surprising comfort of a composting toilet. You can enjoy a campfire at night, and eat your meals at a softly-lit and umbrella'd picnic table.
We are a working farm growing medicinal herbs and happy free-range chickens. We have two territorial farm dogs so please don't bring yours. They are people friendly, but don't like the four-legged competition! Nor do our chickens or wild life fare well with visiting dogs. We see turkeys, rabbits and deer from time to time, and even a silver fox comes nosing around now and again. If you want to bring your dog we can make special arrangements and add a $20 pet fee.

The vibe at Berry Patch Camp Sites-2, 3, 4
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Kelly was a great host! She met us at the site (even though our arrival time shifted a couple times based on traffic) upon arrival and gave us a little tour of the grounds. We had some friendly/polite/quiet neighboring tents. It is very close to downtown Asheville and many trails- a great home base to enjoy nature and all of the awesome food/beer Asheville has to offer.
Kelly was really friendly and showed us around the camp. The solar showers and the composting toilets were great and it was so peaceful to camp there. You’re also not far from Asheville city centre so there’s plenty to do if you fancy a wander.
The sites were exactly as described on the site, very basic, but a place to set up our tent and super close to downtown Asheville/W Asheville! The sites are a bit close together, but that was a bonus as we actually had two sites reserved across friend groups. We didn't have the chance to use it, but Kelly did have a nice common space set up where you could have a campfire/grill out.
