Places to see near Camping with a Full Kitchen
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had to change our dates due to some RV issues and Freddie was very accommodating. When we arrived, Freddie met us and showed us where to find everything. In addition to water and electric hook-ups, we had access to bathrooms, a shower, full kitchen and recreation equipment. The property is beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed an evening fire, which Freddie had already prepared in the fire pit. One of the best parts was allowing our dogs to run and play off leash. We had a wonderful weekend and will be back.
Perfect first hipcamp experience!
This was my first time using Hipcamp and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location was incredible, close enough to amenities like restaurants, a drive in and a Walmart (just in case you forgot something), but far enough away that you felt like you had gotten away from the hustle and bustle of everything. Close to Morrow Mountain, lakes and Uwharrie National Forest, it was a great base station for exploring the area. The actual site was great as well. Fantastic for both new and experienced campers. You had the option of cooking over a campsite or a full kitchen (with a fridge!!) or both so depending on the weather and your preference. The shower and toilets are in a covered area in the barn. The shower was sizable and had hot and cold water. I felt safe and the grounds were very well maintained. There is a large meadow and a great wooded area the leads to a natural spring perfect for exploring and testing out your gear before taking on the surrounding park trails. The cell signal was great so if you needed to stay in touch you could and electrical outlets were available to charge devices etc. The host was extremely accommodating, he grew up on the property and knew all about the site and the surrounding areas. There are two sweet dogs on the property who are very friendly and we saw a couple of deer during our stay. All in all this is a perfect getaway especially for a last minute getaway and we definitely plan on booking this site again. I would recommend for families, couples and even small groups (ie a set of couples or families).
Freddie was super kind and a great host. We had a really relaxing time and wish we could have stayed a little longer. Thank you Freddie for your hospitality & for being so kind to Tonka as well.
Cozy, relaxing, perfect van camp
I can't believe the hospitality I received from Freddie and family. I am a van camper and couldnt have asked for a better set up. I loved showering in the old barn, and the kitchen set up for guest is truly something to behold. I wish I could have stayed forever!!
Already planning my next weekend getaway!
Great getaway close to charlotte
This was our first time using Hipcamp and we would highly recommend Fred's place as a great getaway. It is only about an hour East of Charlotte. Quiet and private place out in the country. Fred was an easy going friendly host and made us feel welcome.
We had a quick and easy stay here. Freddie was very welcoming and accommodating. He promptly showed us the best place to park, where to hook up our electricity, and where the full kitchen and amenities were. He explained the lay of the land (most of which was ours to roam!). We would definitely stay here again! Having a full kitchen with pots, pans, stove, oven, etc. is a big win - not to mention WiFi and bathrooms on top of that!
