Great private site on the tuck.
We had a beautiful 5 nights at this private spot on the Tuck. The river is very wide in this location and the view from the camp and down at the edge was incredible. This site is very private and was especially nice coming out of our county pandemic lockdown to have it all to ourselves. Rob came down for a quick meet and it was nice to discuss the site and some of the history. We are a family of 4 kayakers and all ran the Tuck section 3 for 2 of the days. It was very nice to unwind at this campsite after running the river. We have a 28’ Class A RV and were able to get in and out of the driveway easily. All of the amenities of home with 50 amp power, water and sewer dump. Looking forward to another visit!
Excellent campsite by the river
We really enjoyed our stay at Rob's campsite - It was a perfect weened getaway! The place is not only secluded and by the river Tuck, but also very accessible. Rob did a great job keeping the site very clean. His communication was very clear and prompt. The only watch out is that T-Mobile customers might not have network connectivity, but as per the host Verizon and ATT works pretty well. Overall, it was a great experience and we wish to come back soon!
We stayed here one night during a 9 day trip, and this was by far the best place. The view of the river is amazing, the condition of the site is excellent, and the proximity to the national park is great. The host is very responsive and helpful with any questions.
Private smokies full rv site
This is a full RV site in the heart of the smoky mountains. It is very close to the national park. The spot is off the main road from Whittier to Bryson city but it is extremely private and you have views of the river for all of the site. Rob is very responsive and gives very good instruction on the best way to access the site. It pays to read through everything he has written especially if you have a large RV. There is a small sticker on the handle of the well water pump that states that the water is not potable. This sticker should be disregarded as the water is perfectly drinkable and comes from a pristine well.
A true getaway.
Needed a quick getaway with my son from months of being super careful because of Covid. Couldn’t have asked for a better couple of days. Great site, amazing views, whether a mountain biker or road, amazing rides. Cell service poor so expect to be disconnected which I appreciated.
Great spot, great stay!
Camp Tuck is amazing! I highly recommend this for your stay in the Bryson City area. Totally private with awesome view of the river. You listen to the sound of the river while watching ducks, geese, birds, river otters and we even saw a bald eagle on numerous occasions. Lots of trees gave nice shade. Rob the host was great. Answered all my question prior to our arrival, sent us detailed notes regarding our stay and even stopped by once to check if all was ok! Never in all our years of camping have we had such a quiet, secluded spot! We brought our kayaks and went to Fontana Lake nearby for some beautiful lake kayaking. Be sure to go to Darnells Farm in Bryson City for wonderful fresh fruit and veggies. I was so sorry I had shopped at home, next time will go there. We did go by 3 days in a row for their Dream Whips! Tasty ice cream treats we became addicted to!! Looking forward to returning to this special spot!
