Coffee table inside
Battery-powered string lights inside

This site is flat, surrounded by peaceful woods, and situated away from our other sites. We do require a 2 night minimum stay for this site and allow a maximum number of 4 people (note: we only provide 1 queen bed). We have a drink vending machine at our check-in area, and bagged ice is available for purchase by request. We have a pond with bass and bluegill for you to catch or feed.
We are a small family owned campground offering only 4 sites, all private and wooded and nestled among Hemlock, Beech, Oak and Rhododendron forests. We're next door to North Carolina's premier gem mining attraction, Emerald Village, and are 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and "downtown" Little Switzerland (coffee shop, cafe, general store, etc.). Gas, groceries, and restaurants are 7-8 miles away in Spruce Pine.
I am often not around throughout the day to greet guests when they arrive, so I've set up a check-in area with all the information you need. I do require guests to fill out a small registration card, for my records, and to sign off on the campground rules (basic, common-sense stuff). No trailers or RV's are allowed at any of my sites, and NO PETS are allowed at this site. It is important that you arrive before dark so that you can find your way around the property.

The stay was better than expected. Very secluded. We enjoyed the lotus and plan to come back. Absolutely beautiful, clean site, awesome hostess. I always try to leave the places I stay cleaner than when I arrive, but when they are spotless, it's impossible. Clean shower and bathroom. Not a negative thing to say about this amazing place.
This was our first glamping experience and it didn't disappoint. The bed was so comfortable and there was plenty of space for our kids to sleep on the floor. Just remember you're in the mountains and this is a tent and you should dress and pack warm bedding. The huge firewood pile was wonderful to have and our site was so private. The view and campground was beautiful and night skies perfectly clear. For families, we were a few minutes walk from Emerald Village and the kids had a great time panning. Such a beautiful spot to spend a fall weekend and we plan to return.
We had an awesome stay at the Lotus. The location of this campground is fabulous. We felt very safe. Close to all the attractions, but quiet and nice. We even saw deer a few times! The lotus is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was literally spotless. This is an amazing value, so much was included (chairs, firewood, etc). I can’t recommend it enough.
