This is a great site! You can see for miles up the Southern Tier valleys. The hosts are the nicest people. Their goats are adorable.

The sites are far enough away from each other that it makes you feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself. We rented the cabin and when the host described it as "rustic" we were initially hesitant. But it was cozy, with a brand new wood stove, and a porch. It was about 16x24' big. The wood to make the cabin came from trees right on the property. Talk about ecological! You can tell the family really cares for their land.

The camps are about a hundred yards from the road over the top of a hill. You may be able to drive to the sites if you have a high clearance 4WD, like a pickup. An AWD sedan might get stuck. Definitely ask the host about driving to your site well in advance of plans if that's important to you. But it isn't a far walk, and there may be other accommodations available. Getting stuck and digging ruts into their land would be a shame.

The hosts live right on the property, and we are real jealous! They were amazing people. We had a fantastic time. Hope to get back at some point.

Thanks for letting us stay!

ZiegenVine Homestead was the perfect location for our camping trip! Randy was very friendly and welcoming and met us as soon as we arrived. He gave us a tour of the farm and took us to pet two 2 week old baby goats, which was an adorable experience! The camp site was perfect; it had a great view and plenty of space for the 2 tents we set up. He also provided fire wood and 5 gallons of hand-washing water, which was helpful for rinsing out dishes and such. We hiked on a few of the trails that were cleared, and enjoyed the beautiful views. We were the only campers there this weekend, so we had an especially peaceful and relaxing experience, but there was some privacy between each campsite so even if additional campers were there, I don't think we would have felt crowded. We'd definitely go back for another camping trip!

We had an excellent stay at Randy and Allison's farm. Randy was very friendly when we arrived and helped us settle in after a quick tour. He introduced us to the farm animals and made sure we had enough firewood. We will definitely visit again soon.

Randy and Allison were very friendly and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. The site was clean and well-stocked with firewood and water, had a beautiful view, and we got to hang out with the baby goats the next morning!

What a beautiful location and alison. Randy and their menagerie made us all feel welcome. Fresh eggs for the morning was an unexpected surprise and my kids got to milk the goats. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful and peaceful time at the farm. We stayed at the campsite 1 with a beautiful view on the valley. The all property is really well maintained and Randy and Allison were very kind and helpful. Yoga with goats on Saturday morning was a lot of fun. It felt really good to connect with nature in such a nice place. We will definitely go back again!

How to even begin! Randy and Allison’s campsites are absolutely amazing. We ended up coming down in a downpour, and despite that Randy and Allison took the time to get us, and all of our supplies, up the hill to our campsite. Their land is gorgeous (we stayed on site 4, a private and completely picturesque part of the hill) and they are such wonderful hosts. They treated us like old friends, and the whole feel was very relaxed and comfortable. The goats are adorable, and their dogs are so nice and goofy! I could go on forever. ZiegenVinr was exactly what we were looking for, and we cannot wait to go again!

Allison and Randy went above and beyond in every way from the moment our group arrived at the homestead until the moment we left. We arrived quite late and because it was cold, they got a fire started at our campsite. They also made sure our 4 cars worth of things got up to the site. They also were kind enough to share some eggs and vegetables from their garden. The goat yoga we did in the barn was an awesome experience and we found the instructor really pleasant. The fall foliage was just starting and the view from the field there was quite the site. I definitely definitely recommend spending some time on Randy and Allison's property. I know for certain if we're ever in the area again, we'll stay here again.

Randy and Allison were very accommodating and are all around great people. They gave us a tour of their property and allowed us to meet their herd of goats, as well as their two dogs Storm and Gunner. The sites were very clean and well marked. Both the tent and cabin sites were very private, to where you wouldn't even know that they were hosting other campers. The sites were provided with firewood and and fire pit, and the cabin had everything you would expect a primitive cabin to have, including a wood burning stove and comfortable bed. We would definitely recommend their property and hope to be back in the future!

Landowners Randy and Allison, along with one of their young goats. Interior tent view of the valley below the Ziegenvine Homestead, tent site #1.Tent site #1 provides a great view of the valley below. The clearing at the top of the property used for Goat Yoga classes can also act as a great spot to sit and view the valley below.
