You can wander around my 32 acres, or enjoy 10 miles of trails on 3000 acres of state forest that are adjacent to my place. Bring your boots or bring your horses or bicycles. I can show you a lovely swimming hole not far away, where you can slide down chutes in the rocks or splash about in a swimming hole beneath a short waterfall.  We have been busy clearing areas in the pine woods, and have set up several tents, so you don't even have to bring anything but sleeping bags, etc.

Great place to camp with a great and caring host! The camp is very scenic and beautiful, especially in the morning, during sunrise, when the sun glistens the area. There are many sites to camp in Would Knot, with each site having its own unique beauty to it. Definitely recommend for some who just wants a simple & peaceful getaway.

We had a great weekend staying on the property and Douglas was a great host! We came with a RV and our 2 dogs and we were provided with water and electric hook-ups and the dogs were elated to be able to run free. They had a blast running through the trails behind the property! Would definitely come back!

We had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend at Would Knot. The trails in the state Forrest were just down the driveway! Despite the rain we enjoyed the quiet countryside. Doug was very pleasant and accommodating!! We will be back for sure.... hopefully in the fall to check out the leaves and do more hiking!!

Would Knot was an absolute treasure of a campsite! When we arrived we were greeted by Henry (a friendly older hound) who was very happy to see us! His owner, Andrea, gave us a quick tour of the available camping spaces and where the water, outhouse, and communal fire ring was located.
Lucky for us (campers with a fly and poles but no tent *womp womp*), there were a few different canvas tents up on the property and Andrea let us take our pick. The land runs right along the state forest, so there was ample opportunity for exploring.
We met the horses, as well as a few barn cats, which were all very friendly. Samuel, in particular, took a liking to us and came in for some late-night pets.
Andrea had a fire for at the communal ring and we joined for a while with some other campers. There was ample firewood available, as well as some benches, chairs and tables near the canvas tent sites.
Overall it was an excellent stay and we can't wait to go back!

Wonderful spot, very funky and unique. Andrea (surrogate for Douglas) was a kind, helpful, and aware artist in residence. Access to many beautiful state parks. Would recommend!

Lots of friendly cats roaming around and horses too. Friendly hosts were there when you needed them but were never intrusive. They also knew some good secret swimming spots.

We had a great time staying at Would Knot. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. Great place for exploring the nature or just sitting around a firepit to relax. Plenty of state forests around for hiking.
