The area is quiet, the host was completely non-intrusive, there were fire pits, bathrooms and showers. You are basically on your own so just make sure you are comfortable camping, It is a beautiful piece of property at a reasonable rate. Lots and lots to do in the area.

We just got back from 4 or 5 days at the Willow Hill Farm. We rented out one of the cabins, which were sleep-away camp style. One couple slept in the cabins and the other slept in the pop-up camper we brought. The grounds are gorgeous, and we went horseback riding on one of the days- it was fantastic.
The cabins are located close to eachother, and there's a big open field of grass surrounded by trees, with a few different firepits. While we were there, a few other campers stayed in tents across the field, so know that you might not be the only people camping there. The bathrooms and showers are unisex and also camp-style. The water was wonderfully hot, and we did dishes in the bathroom sinks. Ice, firewood, etc are a 10-15 minute drive, a river is closer with fishing, a swimming hole, etc. We we're delighted with out stay, and Ken the host was very communicative via text beforehand and on the day of check-in.

Ausable Chasm is closebyThis was taken over in the area where the horses are.In one of the horse barns. There's also a few dogs who are nice and might stroll up to the camping area.Tara took us on a 2-hour ride after teaching us how to ride English -style, which is different from Western-style.

Stayed here with my friends. We had a great time. There were bunks, but I’d recommend bringing a tent or hammock to sleep in. Over all nice space.

We booked two camp cabins across from the bathrooms. We asked for 2 double beds and promptly purchased 1 for each cabin! There were many fire pits in the field around the perimeter. We were alone until 16 tenters showed up in the field. No problem, ever. Tenters in the cross country meadow on the way in. Star gazing was perfect. Free roaming family dogs and barn cats on the property and our 2 dogs! Firewood and eggs for sale. Two airplanes flew over in 4 days. The drive is beautiful and easy this covid 19. Fishing and swimming the Ausable river. Lake Champlain is close by. Acres of working horse farm, we did trail ride, barn chores by choice lol and lessons. I brought my bicycle. We hiked and drove around. Plenty of stores to acquire amenities. We brought chairs, table, flat top grill, Coleman table top grill and cooking, serving and eating utensils. Plenty of sun, shade and quiet. Electricity in the cabins, coed showers and bathrooms. Four hot showers in one door and four bathrooms in the other. Never a line. Drinking water and wash dishes in bathroom sink. Heard the coyotes close by at night running by. Did not get to the top of the hill to hike. 3 sites at the dining hall and tent where you may anywhere. Winter camping and fox hunting soon? Thank you Ken, Julie, Tara and Eleanor. Fantasia, Aspen and Corona (horse not virus)🐎Zen🐕🐾😎🤠💜😇

I just came to stay in a cabin and explore the ADK urging the day. Easy to get to. I didn’t even see anybody while I was there except some people in a converted camper van that were camping across the yard from me. The cabin wasn’t luxurious but was exactly what I wanted and expected. I let the host know I would be arriving later and they kindly left a cabin light on for me so I would know where I was headed. I plan to be back for another stay :)

Wonderful stay after a full day of hiking. The best part - HOT showers!! The site was well maintained and private, with gorgeous views of the fall foliage. We would absolutely stay here again.

Me and a group of 3 others had a great time at the Willow Hill Farm cabin! We came in not sure what to expect but it ended up being great. The cabins are located in a secluded area on a beautiful ground. The bathroom are 30 yards away and there are a number of great fire pits. The cabins aren’t anything crazy, but that’s okay because it’s camping! We came October 1st and were quite cold during the night but with a sleeping bag and warm blankets we were able to make it through. The hot showers made our stay even better! 55 minutes to lake placid and a variety of high peaks. The town is a also a short 10 minute drive! We will be coming again!
