About Watkins Glen State Park

Watkins Glen State Park is the ish in the Finger Lakes region and here's why: you’re gonna feel like you won Mother Nature’s lottery when you see the 19 (yes, 19!) waterfalls that cascade over two short miles as the glen’s stream falls 400 magical feet. In awe yet? The trail winds above, below and THROUGH the falls, including the majestic Cavern Cascade. The park offers phenomenal trout fishing, biking, a gigantic swimming pool and playgrounds where you can wind down after an awe-inspiring day.

Definitely one of my favorite campgrounds to visit. The campsites are very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful and the campground itself has the perfect blend of secluded space and accommodations - pool/picnic areas that are within walking distance but definitely not within earshot while on the sites.

The park also offers great hiking to the many waterfalls of Watkins Glen State Park. The trails are all well-marked and easy enough for a casual stroll to take in the amazing sights. Definitely a must visit.
