PET FRIENDLY! These sites are located along Sterling Creek off a trail in the woods.

Site 1/Site A is the first site along the trail and it includes a rock fire pit, a picnic table, a bench, pallets to stack your fire wood, and an additional pit with a grate for cooking. This is a large site that can fit multiple tents or campers.

Site 2/Site B is more secluded and it is down a steep hill. Please note that it may be difficult for some vehicles to drive back up the hill, so it may need to be parked before entering the site. There haven't been any issues thus far with cars. This site is located right next to a small frog pond. This site can fit 2-3 tents. A wooden bench and a metal fire ring (soon to be a rock pit) is provided at this site.

Site 3/Site C is a small, one tent site with a metal fire ring. The site is directly off the trail with a view of the creek. No other amenities are provided.

Site 4/Site D is located back off the trail and can accommodate 1 tent, maybe two small tents. This site has a rock fire pit and no other amenities are provided.

There is one outhouse located at the beginning of the trail and it may be shared with other campers at the site if they are booked.

We are located 15 minutes from the Sterling Renaissance Festival, Sterling Stage, Fair Haven State Park and beach, and the Sterling Nature Center!

***Fair Haven Beach: Approximately $8 per car. Has a sandy beach for swimming, fishing, a pier, and hiking trails.

***Sterling Nature Center: Free entry. Has a rock beach for swimming (make sure you have water shoes), dogs allowed on a leash, and hiking trails.

There is a convenience store located a minute away for any last minute needs. Fire wood is available for purchase down Route 104. Less than 10 minutes away there is a 24 hour convenience store and restaurant. Please review check-in instructions prior to arrival as some phones do not get service. AT&T gets the best cell service, Verizon is hit or miss, and other providers such as Sprint and T-Mobile may not work.

The owner of the land, Pete, often drives down to the site to ensure the campers are settled and can answer any questions. Upon request, someone can show you where the water spigot is located.

Any trash or belongings brought in MUST be carried out.

Thank you!

*Please note that using a port-a-potty is not for everyone. If you don't feel comfortable using one, please bring your own or use the woods. This is camping after all :)

In the spring, or after a good rain, the trails may be muddy in some areas. Please stay safe. There are also mosquitos in the woods. For those that are seasoned campers, I am sure you're aware of this.

Emily was a great host. The site was clean and exactly what I expected. Emily and her family made it clear that they were available if needed but left us alone for the most part. We felt like the place was all ours, which was a nice departure from the "normal" campground scene. It an awesome first Hipcamp experience!

My husband and I stayed at site B. This is a truly beautiful place and we really enjoyed the solitude. We enjoyed walking the trail and the creek. The owner stopped down a couple of times during our stay and he could not have been nicer. He chatted for a few minutes & made sure we were ok. We had such a wonderful time and we are looking forward to going again.

The hosts were so nice! Even before our trip when we had questions they were so quick to answer! Land is amazing! They left wood for us and a grate for the fire! Perfect weekend getaway!

This site was even better than we expected! We stayed at site A, which was huge, had an amazing fire pit and bench, picnic table, and a great view of the creek (that was safe enough our 1 year old couldn’t fall down or get into the creek at the site). Trails were beautiful (though muddy since we came in early spring) and we had complete privacy. I would highly recommend this site and we’ll definitely go back!

We had a great time, sat in the woods and did a little as possible for 2 days. Listened to the music of the creek and the birds. Emily and the family were wonderful hosts, they stopped by once a day to make sure we had everything we needed. Our dogs loved it (Beau was upset that he didn't get a ride in the 4 wheeler) but they both loved being able to run in the woods. We are planning on going back for another weekend sometime this year.

We loved staying here! Site B is super secluded with lots of space and has a great creek to explore.

Such a beautiful little spot. We really enjoyed our hike in the woods and watching the stars at night. Pete the owner was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Emily’s Land was private, good room for our dog, area for outdoor games, picnic table and large stone fire ring. We never saw a host or the potable water. The creek wasn’t really accessible but you could see it. My biggest disappointment was the port a pot, it was almost full, but it was clean, had toilet paper and hand sanitizer. We felt safe and enjoyed our time there. The site was close to Fair Haven State Park which we visited 3 times. When open this would be a good location for the Renasaince Festival.

When I booked this I knew it was close to home, but didn’t realize it was actually right up the road which worked out perfectly because I took my niece overnight camping for the first time and the security of how close we were to home made her more at ease. The site itself is super secluded, there is a cute little creek right behind it which we waded down and a nice fire pit. The host stopped by briefly to make sure we were all set and otherwise left us alone. It was a great little trip and we will definitely be back again!
