Kara and Aaron with their Australian shepherd Lena bought this property in the Seneca highlands in 2014 to finally move their vegetable farm from rented ground to a permanent home. The beautiful views and excellent fields were an easy sell and they built their house and six high tunnels over the next two years. They are full-time vegetable farmers, growing vegetables on six of their 33 acres to sell to local restaurants and a CSA! They love camping and hiking, and being so close to the Finger Lakes National Forest is really great for that.

Secluded Hilltop Meadow on Farm
Aaron was very accommodating. He answered all my questions prior to arrival and made sure he was there to greet us on our arrival. He even gave us a box of fresh veggies. The view from the campsite was beautiful. Highly recommend it

What a gem! Aaron and Kara were so welcoming, generous and hospitable, and the site was beautiful. My fiancĂŠ and I were on a road trip in our van on our way home from a friend's wedding, and wish we could have stayed longer than one night! Aaron and Kara greeted us when we got there to show us the site, and were so generous with local recommendations of places to stop on our way home, as well as sharing bunches of fresh kale with us. Aaron let me know ahead of time that the ground was too wet to drive all the way to the campsite (since it had been such a rainy spring), but we were able to park less than 100ft from the site and it was fantastic. Would highly recommend!

Secluded Hilltop Meadow on Farm
Aaron was excellent communicating up to our arrival, and greeted us with a bunch of fresh tomatoes and a huge smile! He led us to the campsite, at which point we learned there would actually be another Hipcamper party staying nearby. This is totally fine with us, although was not articulated in the listing. Due to the wet ground, we ended up having to park our (sleeper) van away from the campsites, in an area that was not well-mowed. It also put us further away from the composting toilet, which in general seemed like it was only suited to serve the one campsite in the meadow, due to the placement and wet area you had to walk through to get there. Despite all this, we did enjoy a nice sunset, the tomatoes, starry sky, and proximity to the beautiful sights and sounds of the area!

Secluded Hilltop Meadow on Farm
Secluded Hilltop Meadow on Farm is a beautiful farm! Hosts Aaron and his wife truly keep their property beautiful. The greenhouses are tidy and bursting with tomato plants, cucumbers, squashes. The tools in the workshop all have their place. Their house is small and handsome. And they are easy to talk with and hard, hard workers! The campsite is a drive past the asparagus field, thru a fence, and to a mowed area that is very private. It’s all level and easy to find the right place for your tent or vehicle. There is also a fire ring for a campfire and a small shed that houses a bucket composting toilet and some dry wood/kindling. Also hanging on the wall inside the shed are 4 chairs you can use as well! They recommended to us a brewery a few miles from their place called Two Goats Brewery that has a particularly good view of the lake and vineyards. We headed there shortly after and the beer was SO DANG COLD!!!! It was 95 degrees in the sun, so this was the perfect cool down. If you are in the area, this place is a must stop. Along with a wonderful time you also might get some fresh veggies!!!
