Camp in a secluded meadow next to our 33 acre vegetable farm! Very private, excellent view. Poplar trees ring this grassy meadow, and a cool lakeside breeze keeps the site clear of insects and cool during the night.
Drive your vehicle in to the meadow camping area (4WD only if it's been raining!) or park up by our barn, where you have access to potable well water and fresh veggies from our fields and six greenhouses.
We have a composting toilet and running water for our campers, and you are welcome to hook up a shower setup to our existing water system.
LOTS to do! We're adjacent to the Finger Lakes National Forest, horseback riding, bike riding, hiking, kayaking with provided kayaks, swimming in Seneca Lake, or walk to secret swimming gorges! The Finger Lakes Trail is a five minute walk from our property. Take some time to relax and enjoy the Seneca lake Wine Trail. You'll be minutes from more than 30 wineries, breweries, restaurants and vineyards!
We're also a 10 minute drive to Watkins Glen, 15 minutes to Trumansburg, or 30 minutes to Ithaca.
Campers interested in veggies can do a work trade if interested!

The vibe at Secluded Hilltop Meadow on Farm
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Secluded Hilltop Meadow on Farm is a beautiful farm! Hosts Aaron and his wife truly keep their property beautiful. The greenhouses are tidy and bursting with tomato plants, cucumbers, squashes. The tools in the workshop all have their place. Their house is small and handsome. And they are easy to talk with and hard, hard workers!
The campsite is a drive past the asparagus field, thru a fence, and to a mowed area that is very private. It’s all level and easy to find the right place for your tent or vehicle. There is also a fire ring for a campfire and a small shed that houses a bucket composting toilet and some dry wood/kindling. Also hanging on the wall inside the shed are 4 chairs you can use as well!
They recommended to us a brewery a few miles from their place called Two Goats Brewery that has a particularly good view of the lake and vineyards. We headed there shortly after and the beer was SO DANG COLD!!!! It was 95 degrees in the sun, so this was the perfect cool down.
If you are in the area, this place is a must stop. Along with a wonderful time you also might get some fresh veggies!!!
Awesome place to stay! Great hosts, beautiful property, cute dog, delicious vegetables, fresh air... There's not much else more joyful in life. I definitely recommend staying here.
This was my first hipcamp, so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. Aaron messaged me day-of to coordinate check-in, and greeted our car at the driveway with 2 quarts of just-picked tomatoes. There was another party at the other site the first night, then we were the only ones the second. We used the fire pit & provided wood, and appreciated the composting toilet and well water spigot. Decent data connection on AT&T(Cricket) from the farm. The grass from where we parked to the site was mushy/wet, so definitely bring good boots. The farm was super close to trails in the finger lakes national forest, a swimming spot on Seneca lake, and tons of wineries/breweries.
Aaron was excellent communicating up to our arrival, and greeted us with a bunch of fresh tomatoes and a huge smile! He led us to the campsite, at which point we learned there would actually be another Hipcamper party staying nearby. This is totally fine with us, although was not articulated in the listing. Due to the wet ground, we ended up having to park our (sleeper) van away from the campsites, in an area that was not well-mowed. It also put us further away from the composting toilet, which in general seemed like it was only suited to serve the one campsite in the meadow, due to the placement and wet area you had to walk through to get there. Despite all this, we did enjoy a nice sunset, the tomatoes, starry sky, and proximity to the beautiful sights and sounds of the area!
