This is a really great private camp spot, host was amazing, met us, had fire lit for us, really great place would highly recommend for anyone who wants a quiet scenic place to stay, right by the river.

I can't say enough about this campsite. We arrived later in the evening and Brian had a fire waiting for us. Our tent was along the river and it was great to fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the water. The site is easy to get to and is close to town if you need to run to the store.

Morning view from our tent along the river.

Spending time on Patterson Creek was magical. The space was private & natural & our host really spent the extra time thinking of all the little details. He brought us fresh Adirondack water, an ax to chop firewood (which he provided), eggs from his chickens and some mushrooms! It was super generous. Had we requested, I'm sure he would have allowed us more private time, but Brian hung around with us, sat around the fire and told us great stories. We had an amazing time and expect to be back!

Had a great time staying at Brian’s place. The location on the creek just off the Hudson is beautiful. Brian was a helpful host and offered me fresh eggs in the morning so I had a wonderful breakfast enjoying the view. Peaceful place to camp, I’d highly recommend.

Patterson Creek Camp was the best and most unique camping experience we've ever had. We're pretty inexperienced campers (big time city folk) and Brian was so helpful and truly has a great heart. He let us and our dog hang out with his dogs, showed us a waterfall, set up fires for us, led us to a great place to see the stars, and a lot more. The campsite was private (you won't end up right on top of another group like at the commercial campgrounds we previously went to), serene but close to town, and has the most amazing stream and a treetop deck right on it. We are so happy we chose Brian's place, as we had a great time, a calm and comfortable night's sleep, and met an amazing person (and dogs) in the process. We can't wait to make the trip back!

Amazing camp ground with a shallow river and an abandoned rail road adds more fun to the experience. Brian is a great host was always around and offered us delicious BBQ when we first arrived on 4th of July. He also offered us his Canoe which we used in a nearby lake. I am planning to go again soon and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful relaxing camping experience.

Super tranquil and peaceful campsite with wading creek literally right outside your tent. You can hear the sounds of running water wading off the smooth rocks in the creek no more than 10-15 feet right from your tent and they aren’t even coming from your alarm clock!

Bear in mind there are multiple camp sites at Bryan’s property but it doesn’t seem like he’s named or categorized them. Pro tip, ask Bryan in advance if his “best site” by the river is available. That’s where we stayed. Sometimes he’ll have other campers staying there and it might be occupied.

He has a more general “communal” area that leads right to that same creek as well which is more spacious, has a little deck, a porta-potty as well as a large campfire pit area which a bench or two. No showers. Bryan did the hard work of bringing lots of firewood to the fire pit.

We brought some inflatable tubes (even though Bryan had two there already) and just waded in the creek enjoying the cool water and hot sun.

Bryan is a super gracious and accommodating host who is eager to make sure his campers are happy. Will spend time chatting it up with you or leave you to your relaxing. He even had the fire and grill going and cooked us some chicken, burgers and dogs even though we spent so much time in the water we didn’t get to eat any. Our lost!

When you get to the property, you’ll drive into the property from the main road. Once off the main road, the road isn’t paved or concrete but some dirt and gravel. Eventually becomes dirt, grass, soil, sand and small gravel/rocks as you get closer towards the campsites and creek. Nothing too crazy since our mini-van was able to handle it. Mosquitos abound so make sure to bring repellent.

All in all great experience. We stayed there for one night only on July 4th and was also joined by other campers who were in for the holiday weekend as well.

Set up our roof top tent right next to the creek which was about 10-15 feet away. Could hear the soothing sounds of running water from our tent and see the stars at night...amazing!!
