Mountain Creek Cottage is a small 1950's cottage on 30 acres in a pristine Catskills valley, surrounded by NYS land. Adjacent to a famous Catskill trout stream, the West Kill, the cottage and the land was previously owned by the mother of Art Flick, the Catskill's best known fly fisherman. There are multiple hiking trails in the area, some within walking distance from the cottage. We are also 20 - 30 minutes from three Catskills ski areas, Hunter, Belleayre and Windham.
We purchased the property in 2015 and did some updates and renovations, including adding a deck and a screened porch. The cottage is heated for four seasons of comfort, but features a wood-burning stove for cold winter nights and a firepit in the back yard for cool summer nights. There is easy creek access for swimming, fishing or just hanging out listening to time pass by.
