Pitch your tent in a wooded area overlooking a cliff and pond. Beautiful remote spot.  About a five minute walk (you'll pass on your way to the site) there is a very remote and private shared outdoor shower, outhouse, wash sink with potable water and spot you can plug in to charge near the farm house. This is an active farm - so you can enjoy spending time among the orchard trees and observing the chickens and pigs. Please bring bedding and towels (if you require them - let us know).

This is a very woodsy site. It is not a hotel or sterile feel. It is out in nature, there are sticks, rocks, leaves, bugs, rain, mud, and all of the camp type things. The outhouse is an outhouse - so it is not like a hotel room bathroom. You will experience sounds, sites and happenings including animals such as  deer, bald eagles, turtles, porcupines, beavers, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, toads, snakes and more. This area does also have bears & coyotes. We advise not to leave food out at night. We recommend bug spray or candles as there are many flies and other insects that enjoy buzzing around. As we are an active farm you will likely hear rooster crow, a tractor hum, geese and ducks and pigs as you explore the property. Sometimes during the day we do run the tractor to mow or spray the orchard (organic actually involves lots of SAFE spraying of clay, nee and natural products to protect the apples). You should expect a rustic, woody, campsite type feel - not a typical air b n b type rental apartment.

Please carry out what you carry in and leave it clean for the next group. We clean between all visitors - and are currently keeping quite a distance to protect you, the site and everybody involved.

The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindale, @ visitmountaindale, which has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, a cafe bar that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, @ Baandme, A Vietnamese Restaurant, @ thedaleNY a pizza restaurant and bar ran by Wayside Cider.

For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, goumet deli and cofee 6 days a week (closed Mondays) and a little wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @ ambikaboutique and get some hand crochet bikinis or angora hats and vintage clothing. Check out a full herbal apothecary @ witcheyhandmade, and @ yinspiritualcenter along with a few local art galleries, a coffee shop and so much more!

There is excellent hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. Also Bashakill trails (and conveniently a vineyard with tastings and events right nearby). Your'e also about 30 minutes away from super cute fun larger towns and attractions like New Paltz, Livingston Manor, and tons of incredible Catskill hiking and nature opportunities. There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there!

As always - if you have any questions, issues, concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out - we are here to help!

We had a great time at the woodsy camp at Majestic Farm. The site is in a heavily wooded area near a pond and includes a fire pit with grill, picnic table with benches, and a comfy Adirondack chair. It was about a 2 to 5 minute walk from where we could park, which is a nice walk past the apple orchard. Near where you can park is the outhouse, sink, and outdoor shower with hot water. We bought sausages and steak from the farm and it was all great. We would come back.

Just returned from a one night stay at Woodsy Camp and wish we could have stayed longer. The host Sara was incredibly responsive and gave us some awesome tips for our stay. We spent our first afternoon floating down a nearby river and the second afternoon hiking the Mullet Blue trail to the falls. The campsite was private, in the woods overlooking the pond. Sara left us wood at our site. At night you’ll fall asleep to a symphony of frogs and toads and will wake up the birds. We also enjoyed the eggs and steak from the farm. Hot shower was a really nice perk. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

This was my first Hipcamp stay! As mentioned in previous reviews, the campsite was surrounded by a plethora of wildlife (mainly frogs which we loved) and an abundance of shade. The privy, wash station, and outdoor shower was about a 5-minute walk from the campsite. The trash bin was located near the entrance which was about a 10-minute walk from the campsite. What made this campsite special to me was the helpfulness of the hosts and an absolute sense of privacy. Sara and Brett were extremely helpful and accommodating towards any questions and needs that I had before and during my stay! The terrain is bumpy in various areas of the farm. When I asked to drive a different pathway to the campsite, Sara and Brett were very accommodating! I also had the pleasure of tasting their farm fresh eggs, breakfast sausages, and hot sausages. All were very appetizing and flavorful! The site was private and secluded from the rest of the farm. This was the first time I went camping where I had complete privacy from others. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience!

Very wholesome and kind hosts. They welcome you to their property but give you the freedom to make the trip what you want. Campsites with good fire pit and grill grates. Plenty of fire wood. Their homemade meats were incredible ! It’s a 3-5 minute walk from the car park to the site FYI.

Highly recommend this campsite! It was in a lovely location, on a big property with a gorgeous view of a lake. There were a lot of signs up for directions so it was easy to be contact-free; the host had also put out disinfectant and hand sanitizer for us to use. It was also nice to walk around and see the animals that live on the farm.

The majestic heritage farm was a lovely place to camp. It was truly private and far enough away from the main house where we felt like we were in the woods. The campsite overlooks a pond and you are elevated above it. The owners were lovely and helpful and were prompt when we had any questions. Great place to get away !!

Majestic Farm Woodsy Camp was perfect. It was my friend's very first time camping and the bar has now been set high haha. The site was clean, shaded, and a short walk to the car and to the toilet. Plenty of space for two tents and a hammock. Accessibility to potable water was a big plus. Would love to camp here again in the future! Also - highly recommend trying some of the meats they sell on site (we had the kielbasa and the brats - both were delicious!)

This site was fantastic! I would definitely recommend to future campers. Only notes I think are valuable to keep in mind -there's quite a bit of noise from the pond (frogs, etc.) at night. The site has some uneven terrain so it took a little bit to determine the best spot for our tent. Lastly, the site is right behind an active farm so it is not entirely secluded but plenty private.

Wonderful spot. Great little nook overlooking a large lake. Fireflies and a symphony of frogs at night. Nice little firepit with grill and picnic table. Lots of spots for a hammock. Hard to find a flat, comfortable place for our tent.
